Attack on Titan is a Japanese dark fantasy anime television series that is based on the manga series of the same name by Hajime Isayama. AOT is a post-apocalyptic drama that centers on Eren Yeager and is pals Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Arlert as they navigate a world where the remnants of humanity are sheltered behind walls from monstrous humanoids know as Titans. Titans devour Eren's mother and demolish their hometown after a colossal titan penetrates the wall. Eren swears revenge and enlists in the Elite Survey Corps, a fighting force against Titans. The plot is set in Taishō century Japan, where the Demon Slayer Corps is a covert organization that has been fighting demons for generations. These demons were once people and had superhuman traits including extreme strength, quick regeneration, and special abilities called "Blood Demon Art". Demons can only be killed by being exposed to sunlight, being injected with a poison derived from wisteria flowers, or being beheaded with weapons made of a rare alloy known as Nichirin.
