Virat vs Rohit, who can be the best captain for India

This topic covers the interesting facts between the captaincy conflict and expectations between Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. This is the clash of the titans in its unique form.

Virat has been in a respectable format in all forms of cricket, however, critics have the opinion that he is out of form and hasn't scored the centuries required. While Rohit had limited opportunities and has proved to be a good captain so far in the provided opportunities and of course his best as Mumbai Captain in IPL.

Virat is aggressive and appears to be a genuine leader along with his batting skills, while Rohit is an excellent cricketer and batting wizard, however might not prove himself well as a captain in a long run. The captaincy of Mumbai in an IPL is very different from captaining the India Team combating the international teams. While many are happy with Rohit Sharma taking the captaincy, it might not prove the same in the long run.

Virat is genuinely aggressive and Rohit is impulsive. Virat recovers well when in deep problems, he has the vigor and agility to drive the team in its good and bad shape. Rohit on the contrary cannot recoup when the team is in distress, he cannot maneuver them when the team's morale is down.

While Virat is a Teams player, Rohit is still an individual player, and taking the team's responsibility and carrying it over for sure will be an issue in the long run.

At this juncture in Indian cricket, we should project a captain who is you and who would be ready by the time the senior players are retired and out of the system. This would help Indian cricket in a long run.

Can Virat take up the captaincy again?

Well, the answer for that would be a straight NO. It can be taken as a NO from Virat and also a NO from the BCCI itself, after having gone through all the drama in shifting the captaincy. The episode of changing the captaincy could have been handled in a much better way.

The decision of changing Virat Kohli as a captain to Rohit Sharma, is undoubtedly a good move wrt all the Pros and Cons one could think of and even Virat fans would also have accepted the fast. However, the way in which this was executed and taken down and handed over and announced, all this drama could have been avoided in the interest of the fans and the cricket sport.

This entire battle might disrupt the sportsmanship of both the cricketers as this is additional pressure on Rohit to take this forward and prove his mettle. This will not just be his fight to prove his greats as a captain but also to prove that the BCCI has taken the right decision.

The answer lies in the future.
