Postnatally, doctors may diagnose Down syndrome based on physical characteristics observed at birth and confirmatory genetic testing. Early intervention programs and supportive care play crucial roles in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with Down syndrome, addressing their unique needs, and promoting their overall development.
