U4GM Where to Get Sigil of Power in Path of Exile 2

When you're deep into PoE 2's endgame, it's weird how progress slows to a crawl. Your tree's set, your rares are "good enough," and the next jump in damage feels like it only comes from burning piles of PoE 2 Currency. What a lot of casters miss is that there's a sneaky, low-effort power button sitting in plain sight: Sigil of Power. People skip it because it's not a normal gem, so it never shows up in your usual upgrade checklist.

Where the skill actually comes from

Sigil of Power isn't something you buy from a vendor, and you won't loot it as an uncut gem in maps. It's tied to one weapon only: the Chiming Staff. Equip the staff and the skill appears as a built-in weapon skill, which also means it costs no mana to cast. That alone makes it attractive if your build already feels tight on resources. The downside is the cooldown, but it's not the end of the world. If it annoys you, cooldown support can smooth it out, and you'll notice the difference straight away.

Scaling, sockets, and the support links you want

The staff's item level matters more than most people realise. Higher item level means a higher-level Sigil, better numbers, and usually more room to support it properly. Two supports do most of the heavy lifting: Prolonged Duration and Magnified Area. In real boss fights you're not standing still like a target dummy. You're dodging, repositioning, getting shoved by mechanics, maybe dealing with clutter from party effects. A longer-lasting, wider circle means you stay "inside" the buff without thinking about it, which is kind of the whole point.

Why it feels made for boss phases

On paper, the first bonus is simple: stand in the Sigil and get increased spell damage. In practice, the real payoff comes from spending mana while it's active. Every time you burn through half your maximum mana, the Sigil gains a stage, up to four stages total. That ramps the buff into something you can actually feel during a burst window. Mana-hungry casters charge it fast without even trying, so the skill ends up rewarding you for doing what your build already does. Drop it at the start of a phase, do your normal rotation, and the boss' health bar tells the story.

The easy weapon-swap trick most players still ignore

You don't need to rebuild your whole setup around a staff to get value. Put a Chiming Staff in your secondary weapon slot, swap at the start of a boss phase, place the Sigil, then swap straight back to your wand or sceptre. The ground effect stays, your damage goes up, and you keep your main weapon stats for the actual fighting. It's one of those tricks that feels like cheating the first time it works. And if you're trying to gear up without stalling out, it helps to have a reliable marketplace in mind; U4GM is a common pick for players looking to buy currency or items quickly while they focus on learning fights and cleaning up their builds.
