What is Tunnel Farming?
"Tunnel farming is the growing of vegetables and fruits in their off-seasons when there is demand of that thing and there is no season of that particular thing to grow or cultivate another common definition of tunnel farming is to cultivate the demanded vegetables whole year due to this people get fresh and low price vegetables for their use".
The First Question that comes in our mind is Tunnel farming is Profitable or not if it is a profitable source then what kind of tunnel we use these are the questions that are coming in a farmer or a beginner mind.
There are three types of a tunnel which are usually used 1) High Tunnel 2) Wali in tunnel 3) Low Tunnel
Which type of tunnel is used and which type is better it totally depends upon our budget. The high tunnel is the controlled form of tunnel farming in which we used controlled methods to grow different things.
Then comes Walk-in tunnels this type of tunnel is commonly used by most of the people and last but not the least Low tunnels that are usually used to grow those types of plants that grow along the ground, for example, Creeper Types Plants(Tinda, Kadoo, etc) if we grow these vegetables in low tunnel then it comes one month early then the grow without tunnel and in this one month one can sell its . in a good price and get profit in one month.
Walk-In Tunnel in this type of tunnel we can grow bushy type plants like Tomato,Cucumber etc walk-in tunnel mostly used type of tunnel that commonly different farmers installed in their field and get profit an anti-insect net is also used in summer season upon the structure of walk-in tunnel to prevent the siege with any type of insects and the quality of the . in anti-insect net is unbeaten by any other sege. of any farmer.
