This incident happened recently in Nov 2019. At Punjab Institute of Cardiology(PIC), a big clash happened between lawyers and doctors. There are many news that doctors are responsible for this fight because of thier worst and rude behavior. A group of lawyers protested against doctors and blocked the jail road in front of the Services Hospital on Saturday after the clash.
According to the reports, the clash happened when a lawyer visited the hospital along with his relative for check-up and the doctor did some quarrel with the lawyer. The lawyer was accompanied by few other lawyers. Doctors and paramedics also came to argue. All the people in the hospital took up rods and wipers and the lawyers were tortured brutally and injured by the PIC doctors.
Investigating officer said that medical examination of the injured lawyers will be conducted. He said the suspects were unidentified and could be recognised through identification parade in front of the victims. The hospital administration would be formally called after complainants would be able to join the investigation as they were injured.
Lawyers protested that these doctors should be suspended and all other people that helped doctors in this fight should be arrested. They said that doctors duty is to save people not to injure people. The doctors remain busy in fighting with lawyers and due to this three patients including an elderly woman died after doctors failed to provide them timely treatment.
In this rage, the lawyers attacked the whole hospital and many patients were injured. The police arrested dozens of lawyers and unblocked the road. Punjab government also summoned extra troops of Rangers personnel to maintain law and order. Many videos went viral on youtube. Doctors also made fun of the lawyers after recalling the incident. The protesters were on a mission to avenge a group of lawyers, who had been beaten up at the PIC.
