She is a guide, mentor, mother, educator, wife and friend. He is many things to many people. She is today's woman. Is she a new woman in an ever-changing new world, or is she? He only gives and takes what he earns. He talks even when it's uncomfortable. When life gives her lemons, does today's woman take those lemons and make lemonade, or does she?
As a woman, I have the same goals today as my mother did yesterday. I also want to raise my children and take care of them in a healthy home environment. The only difference between me and my mother was that she was born in 1932 in a time of poverty. By the age of 12, she was at home raising her brothers and sisters instead of going to school. My mother grew into a woman and took on the job of mother and wife. My mother never worked outside the home until my father's death in 1988. At that time she had no education, no work experience and was forced to go back into the workforce. She took a factory job until ill health forced her into early retirement. But she did what she had to do to survive.
Today, I want as much for myself and my children as my mother did. However, today as women we have worked our way to the right to vote, to fight for equal pay, to break away from traditional roles, but I think we have gone beyond our roles. Today's woman is no longer about equality, but we have made our way through the feminist movement, which we are now one with men.
The abortion movement is a good example of this. The law allows the woman to take power over the joint decision by terminating the life of both the man and the woman, and the man has no say in it. Yet the same feminist demands that fathers pay child support and alimony instead of teaching a single woman to support herself financially. Feminists created today's woman in order, trained and molded her to be a victim. I will tell you that there are no victims in life, only those who willingly volunteer to play a role.
The sad thing is that feminists don't even see how sad and how embarrassing they are to other women like me. Today's Woman teaches Today's Woman to take control of something that involves both men and women, like abortion, while making her dependent on her man's money and encouraging the government to give her special privileges.
Being a woman today should mean you can contribute to humanity as a whole. It should be about finding your passion in life and embracing it with determination and relying only on yourself. Today's Woman has more than equal rights and still wants more. He wants to eat his cake and have it too. Come on, you have to admit that the feminist way of thinking is pretty much bios. She wants the same rights as a man, but will accept a few favors because she has a set of goats and ovaries.
Once upon a time, the feminist movement could really mean something, mean something to me as a woman, but unfortunately not anymore. I was proud to be a feminist when women screamed and marched down the street to end the night. But now the woman of today has changed from the caring, nurturing mother that my mother was to a bitter, resentful woman. Sadly, by today's women's standards, if you're not a front-line woman who believes in aborting the unborn and taking the daddy to the cleaners in a messy divorce, then you're not a real woman.
Today's woman labeled all women as victims. By today's female standards, there's only one way to think, and that's their way. They have no problem playing a powerless female role and taking power over a man. But let's face it, maybe it's the man who's really the victim.
There are unfortunately too many double standards set by today's woman, so maybe I am yesterday's woman living in today's world. Motherhood is perhaps the noblest and most important profession in society. Maybe I'm just a woman born in the wrong century.
I know a young, thirty-four-year-old single mother who is raising five children by herself. She is a woman I admire as a woman today. He cares about the welfare of his family. She strives daily to lift her family out of poverty and provide the best for these children. She made the ultimate sacrifice a mother can, she leaves her children every day to go to work and take care of them. She doesn't have a dad in the background who pays child support and alimony. She is both mother and father. Today's Woman should be about her. Tammy Chambers is a lady I greatly admire as a woman today, and she could certainly teach the feminist movement a thing or two.
