Who's developing GTA 6?
Grand Theft Auto 6, as fans are calling it (despite Rockstar not officially announcing a title yet) is in development at Rockstar Games. Rockstar North, based in Edinburgh, Scotland, is leading the game's development, but these days, Rockstar's entire network of studios is known to work collectively on the same project, not unlike how development on Call of Duty is distributed between teams. Rockstar's latest big game, Red Dead Redemption II, was developed by multiple teams.GTA 6 rumors
Rumors about Grand Theft Auto 6 have been plentiful. One of the more intriguing rumors is that the game will have a Fortnite-style evolving map in some capacity. According to some scuttlebutt, this would allow Rockstar to frequently change and adjust GTA 6's world map, similar to how live-service games mix things up on a regular basis.
Other rumors have suggested GTA 6 will be set in the 1980s, though reporter Tom Henderson has rejected that claim, saying the game will in fact take place in a modern-day version of Vice City. In terms of playable characters, its suggested that Rockstar will have multiple playable characters, a storytelling device that began with GTA 5 and was much praised at the time. In GTA 5, the three main characters--Trevor, Michael, and Franklin--were all male. However, rumors suggest that at least one of the characters in GTA 6 will be a woman.
Some of the other rumors in the mix for GTA 6 is that the game could launch as a timed-exclusive on PS5--this would be a huge deal but not necessarily surprising. GTA and PlayStation have been partners for some time already, and in the age of exclusive content, Sony paying Rockstar for some kind of exclusivity would continue that trend.

What are the possibilities of GTA 6 being revealed at the upcoming Sony State of Play?
The Sony PlayStation State of Play broadcast is scheduled to begin on June 2 at 3 PM PT/ 6 PM ET/ 10:30 PM GMT. The event will be approximately thirty minutes long and will feature first and third-party game trailers. Special attention will also be paid to the PSVR 2 and virtual reality games being designed for it.
That being said, GTA fans are pretty divided about the next edition's reveal at this event. It would be wrong to say that Rockstar does not use such platforms to announce its games. In the past, Grand Theft Auto 4 was announced at a Microsoft E3 in 2006. Furthermore, both Grand Theft Auto 5 current-gen and next-gen upgrades were announced at Sony events.
etting the most obvious question out of the way: will there be a GTA 6? The answer is yes. On February 4th, 2022, Rockstar surprised fans with a shocking announcement through Twitter and their blog post. Although we were not given anything new, Rockstar confirmed that Grand Theft Auto 6 was under “active development.”
They stated in their blog and on Twitter that with each iteration in the series, their aim is to always create something better than before. Considering the quality of games that we’ve got from Rockstars in the past few years, they surely have been nailing this philosophy of constant improvement. The post and a reply to the tweet went on to say that they’ll be sharing more information soon and that fans should stay tuned to the Rockstar Newswire for official details.
Around the same time, the CEO of Take-Two made some statements as well. The CEO said that the labels have full authority over deciding the announcement of upcoming projects. He ended his statement by providing hope for more news to come. But his statement clearly showed that if we are to get more information for GTA 6, it would be either through leaks or directly from Rockstar themselves.
Although this news seemed exciting that GTA 6 was finally in active development, it disappointed many fans. They were already under the impression that GTA 6 was in the works and wanted to hear more than just a confirmation.
GTA 6 Release Date
We’ve had some interesting leaks regarding the GTA 6 release date , here’s everything about it and some things to consider.
Possibilities of Delay
Release dates of big AAA titles can be quite tricky. There are often delays, last-minute changes, and a lot more that keep them from being released. Even Rockstar’s previous AAA game, Red Dead Redemption 2, faced delays before finally being released. Therefore, even if there are any leaks of releases or if Rockstar officially announces a date, you should be open to the thought that it can easily get delayed.
