Summer Summary Temperature 2006
Miami schools offer a wide range of summer professional development courses for teachers and their public school administrators to help teachers meet government needs and learn new ways and teaching methods. Teachers are eligible to take one Summer Heat lesson. These courses will be offered in June and July. Most courses take about a week and meet daily from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM.
The teacher should be present every day for the session to receive Higher Program Points. Miami District School Highlights Program - Dade County School assists teachers to obtain the degree qualifications they need to meet the Higher Qualifications for Teachers' Act No Missing Child Act. Six Major Program Points per day are offered for all courses except those that offer real college credit.
Teacher Career Development
Miami School District School Teachers are benefiting from a range of courses that help focus their teaching on special groups - at risk and provide instruction on important subjects. Many studies focus on the needs of children with limited English proficiency. These courses help teachers improve the literacy skills of English-speaking students and learn culturally sensitive techniques that put such children in a regular classroom. Other special groups include children with autism and children with behavioral problems.
In addition to these special groups, teachers from Miami County School District have the opportunity to enrich their teaching of a variety of core subjects. Courses abound in all aspects of literacy and numeracy as well as science, arts, and social sciences. Primary and secondary education cover, including preparing for the teaching of Advanced Positioning (AP) examinations at the high school level. On the other side of the spectrum, special attention is also given to the construction and implementation of the pre-kindergarten curriculum. Miami - Dade School District School teachers were also allowed to explore common teaching methods to improve classroom leadership, including the Continuous Improvement Model (CIM), Object-Based Learning, and many more.
Professional Development of Management
Miami County School District Superintendents also benefit from Summer Heat curriculum education. Principals, Principal Principals, and other support staff have the opportunity to learn how to improve their performance and help motivate teachers in their work. The Principal Preparatory Program conducts courses for principal trainees in their first and second years of training. Several Assistant Principal Academy meetings have been organized to help teachers make changes in their administrative roles. In addition, the role of a school psychologist and teacher-counselor is also tested in various academic competitions. The School Support Team also has a variety of courses to choose from to learn how to implement school transformation.
University and Social Cooperation
Miami - Teachers and administrators of Dade County School District rely on the support of many university partners and the community. Courses take place at most Miami-Dade County schools in addition to universities and private businesses. Barry University, University of Miami, University of South Florida, and Florida International University all offer their campuses for professional development courses.
