کوئی بھی کنویں سے پانی بھرنے جاتا،وہ اپنی جان سے ہاتھ دھو بیٹھتا۔پھر آہستہ آہستہ سب لوگوں نے کنویں سے پانی بھرنے جانا چھوڑ دیا اور بھی عجیب و غریب کئی باتیں کنویں سے متعلق مشہور ہیں
Salman and Abdullah had come from the city to their uncle's house for vacation. They liked the clean atmosphere of the village very much. Hamza was very happy to see the two cousins. سلمان اور عبداللہ شہر سے اپنے ماموں کے گھر چھٹیاں گزارنے آئے ہوئے تھے۔گاؤں کی صاف ستھری فضا انھیں بہت بھلی لگی۔دونوں کزن کے آنے سے حمزہ بہت خوش تھا۔وہ آپس میں بہت گہرے دوست بھی تھے۔
صبح ناشتے کے دوران عبداللہ کو کچھ یاد آیا تو وہ بولا:”ماموں جان!اس گاؤں میں ایک بہت مشہور کنواں ہے۔اس کنویں کے بارے میں سب لوگ عجیب و غریب باتیں کرتے ہیں۔ہمیں بھی وہ کنواں دیکھنا ہے۔“
”ہاں بیٹا!وہ کنواں اپنی پُراسراریت کی وجہ سے بہت مشہور ہے،لیکن وہاں جانا خطرے سے خالی نہیں۔
“ماموں جان نے کہا۔
آخر کافی منت سماجت کے بعد اُنھیں اجازت مل گئی۔وہ کنواں گاؤں سے تھوڑی دور ہے۔جہاں سے جنگل شروع ہو جاتا ہے۔پہلے وقتوں میں اس سے لوگ پانی بھرتے تھے۔

کنویں کا پانی بہت میٹھا ہوا کرتا تھا۔پھر ہوا کچھ یوں کہ جو کوئی بھی کنویں سے پانی بھرنے جاتا،وہ اپنی جان سے ہاتھ دھو بیٹھتا۔
پھر آہستہ آہستہ سب لوگوں نے کنویں سے پانی بھرنے جانا چھوڑ دیا اور بھی عجیب و غریب کئی باتیں کنویں سے متعلق مشہور ہیں۔“سلمان نے کنویں کے بارے میں بتاتے ہوئے کہا۔
”مزے کی بات یہ ہے کہ مجھے جن بھوت دیکھنے کا بچپن سے شوق ہے۔
میں نے ہمیشہ جن بھوتوں کے بارے میں سنا اور بہت کہانیاں پڑھی ہیں،لیکن حقیقت میں آج تک نہیں دیکھے۔“سلمان کی بات سن کر عبداللہ نے کہا۔
عبداللہ ان سے دس قدم کے فاصلے پر تھا۔عبداللہ کی چیخ فضا میں بلند ہوئی۔انھوں نے یک دم پیچھے مڑ کر دیکھا۔

”زیادہ بولو نہیں۔اپنے دائیں طرف دیکھو۔“عبداللہ نے اسے کہا۔
سلمان اور حمزہ نے فوراً دائیں جانب نظریں گھمائیں تو دونوں ساکت کھڑے رہ گئے۔اُن کے سر کی دائیں جانب درخت کی شاخ پہ سانپ آدھا لپٹا آدھا نیچے کی جانب جھولا جھول رہا تھا۔
دونوں بجلی کی تیزی سے دوسری طرف جان بچا کر بھاگے۔حمزہ کا پاؤں سوکھی جھاڑی میں اٹک کر رہ گیا وہ گرتے گرتے بچا۔عبداللہ کی قمیض کا کونا سوکھی جھاڑی میں اٹک گیا۔اسے نکالنے کی کوشش میں قمیض کا کونا پھٹ گیا۔
”وہ دیکھو۔

They had been sitting for some time when they heard the rustle of someone walking on the dry leaves. The footsteps were getting closer and closer. The three of them hid behind the tree. Five men approached the well. They had big bags on their hands and shoulders. They all went up the steps of the well one after another. They went down. The three of them came out from behind the tree and followed them. When they got close, they leaned against the wall and peered into the well and then hid behind the trees and waited for them to go. After leaving, the three of them went down through the stairs.
مجھے کنویں کی دیواریں نظر آنے لگی ہیں۔“عبداللہ نے زور سے نعرہ لگایا۔
وہ تینوں سستانے کے لئے رُک کر ایک گھنے پیڑ کے ساتھ ٹیک لگا کر آرام کرنے لگے۔انھیں بیٹھے ہوئے کچھ ہی دیر ہوئی تھی کہ سوکھے پتوں پر کسی کے چلنے کی سرسراہٹ پیدا ہوئی۔
قدموں کی آوازیں تیز اور قریب ہوتی جا رہی تھی۔وہ تینوں پیڑ کے پیچھے چھپ گئے۔پانچ آدمی کنویں کے قریب پہنچے۔اُن کے ہاتھوں اور کندھوں پہ بڑے بڑے بیگ تھے۔وہ سب کندھوں پر بیگ تھامے کنویں کی سیڑھیاں ایک کے بعد ایک اُترتے چلے گئے۔
وہ تینوں پیڑ کے پیچھے سے نکل کر ان کے پیچھے چل دیے۔قریب پہنچ کر انھوں نے دیوار سے لگ کر کنواں میں جھانکا اور پھر درختوں کے پیچھے چھپ کر ان کے جانے کا انتظار کرنے لگے۔وہ سب مطمئن ہو کر اپنے بیگ کنویں میں رکھ کر چلے گئے تو وہ تینوں سیڑھی کے ذریعے نیچے اُترے۔

انھیں یہ دیکھ کر حیرت کا جھٹکا لگا کہ کنویں کے اندر بہت سارے بیگ ہیں جو نشہ آور چیزوں سے بھرے ہوئے تھے۔کنویں میں ایک طرف سرنگ بھی تھی۔
ہمیں جلد واپس چلنا چاہیے۔”ماموں جان کو منشیات کے بیگ اور ان آدمیوں کے بارے میں آگاہ کرنا چاہیے۔“عبداللہ نے کہا۔
وہ تینوں جلد از جلد کنویں سے باہر نکل آئے اور گھر پہنچ کر ساری بات ماموں کو بتا دی۔شام ہونے سے پہلے تمام مجرم پکڑے جا چکے تھے۔
