With thousands of movies to choose from and a navigation system and algorithm that doesn't always make it easy to find the right option, it can be difficult to know what to watch on Netflix. That's why here we are, breaking down the 100 best movies on the service right now, along with regular updates when they're removed and when new ones are added. Ali
Michael Mann directed the 2001 biopic of one of the most important figures of the twentieth century, Muhammad Ali. Will Smith delivers possibly the best film work of his career as the legendary boxer, civil rights icon, and all-around role model, and Mann approaches Ali's life with his unique craftsmanship.

The kind of serious thriller American audiences didn't know what to do with when it came out, the 2010 Anton Corbizan film had a critical following, but was a box office failure. Based on the book A Very Private Gentleman stars George Clooney is disguised as a contract killer who has to flee across Europe after his cover is blown up. Tense and very smart.
American Gangster
Ridley Scott directed an epic gangster flick that saw two of the most charismatic actors of their generation work together on their first major project (no offense, Virtuosity fans). Denzel Washington plays a loose variation on the life of Frank Lucas, a legendary criminal who revolutionized the drug trade; Russell Crowe plays the detective who brought him down. Both men are great, but American Gangster is a terrible ensemble with great supporting work from a dozen or more character actors.
Apocalypse Now
Francis Ford Coppola went into the woods, nearly lost his mind, and came back with a war film masterpiece, one of the most cited and cited combat films of all time. The journey to find Colonel Kurtz plays out like a fever dream, the journey of the violent spirit of man. Combining Conrad's Heart of Darkness with the recent wounds of the Vietnam War, Coppola barely survived to deliver a film that deserves to be mentioned alongside the best Vietnam flicks of all time.
as good as it gets
Believe it or not, this is the last film to win both Best Actor (Jack Nicholson) and Best Actress (Helen Hunt) Oscars. James L. Brooks's romantic comedy is the perfect example of a film that grabbed its cast at just the right moment, receiving one of the last Nicholson performances that could be called charming, and accompanies the great work of Hunt and Greg Kinnear. can be supported. Some of it is a bit outdated, but it does hold enough power in a bottle in a casting case to justify another look.
the Atlantic
Mati Diop's directorial is a gentle, mesmerizing study of life on the coast of Senegal, where men often leave women behind to venture to more prosperous shores. It's a delicate, beautiful film that plays out like a romance, a ghost story, and a study of inequality all at the same time. Check it out before anyone recommends it to you.
The Ballad of Buster Scruggs
Joel and Ethan Coen's Western anthology series was a part of Netflix's brand-redefined 2018. Sure, Netflix still has a bunch of junk in it, but it also landed the latest from Alfonso Cuarón, Koons, and even Orson Welles. It serves as a commentary on brilliant western comedies, dramas, and even Koons itself. Don't miss it.
blade Runner
Ridley Scott's 1982 masterpiece was notoriously ridiculed upon release but would go on to change the cinematic landscape. Harrison Ford stars as Rick Deckard in sci-fi noir, a film that changed the visual language of the genre and launched dozens of imitators. The original is still perfect, and it is the Final Cut version of the film, the 2007 version which removes the voice-overs, re-inserts the unicorns, and removes the original happy ending.
the bling Ring
Sofia Coppola directed this 2013 true story about a group of young people in Los Angeles who decided to start robbing celebrities. It's an understated drama about privilege and desire, filtered through the vibrant attitudes of its filmmakers and talented young cast, including Emma Watson and Taissa Farmiga.
Bram Stoker's Dracula
Francis Ford Coppola's epic retelling of the 1992 classic novel is one of the grandest and most ambitious Hollywood productions of its era. Gary Oldman gives his best performance as the title character, but it's also Coppola's incredible craftsmanship and unforgettable

Magical
Is this the biggest horror movie of 2010? This not only made James Wan a major director, but
It spawned several title franchises of its own, with spin-offs such as The Nun and Annabelle. Go back to the beginning and watch the first in the series and arguably still the best movie ever, a brilliant haunted house movie that revived the genre. And then follow it up with an excellent sequel on Netflix too.
