The fact is, there are simple steps you can take to maximize your chances of living a long and healthy life. Lifetime and health are not risks. Genetic help, but choosing a lifestyle under your control is significant.
While the "secret of longevity" still seems to be a mystery to many, the truth is, it is straightforward, and many people come to agree on how it is done.
Research conducted over the years reveals the keys to longevity in three of the healthiest, longest-living groups in the world: the Okinawa, the Adventists (California), and the Sardinians.
These groups boast a high rate of 100-year-olds and are plagued by degenerative diseases that kill thousands in other parts of the industrial world.
Sardinia, an island nation of 1.6 million people, has the highest percentage globally, reaching 100 years of age. Five of the 40 oldest people in the world live in Sardinia, and another 135 million people live to see their 100th birthday (the western average is close to 75).
Compared to the Sardinians and the other two groups, there were various backgrounds and beliefs, with some variations such as vegetarian diets and high-fat diets, and high "Mediterranean" protein. However, there are significant similarities between the three groups.

Could That Be So Easy?
So what? Those secrets of longevity? Could it be that easy? What about genetic research? Has there been a breakthrough in high-tech laboratories? What about medicines? Are there any new artificial remedies that can add years to your life without side effects? Doesn't it add to the scientific advancement by coming up with boundaries? Isn't there something else "cutting?"
Can we look at people who walk, talk, who live as good examples of health and longevity and do what they do?
Are you physically active - consistently, year-round, year after year?
Do you smoke?
Do you eat fruits, vegetables, and whole grains?
Do you manage stress?
If not, how can you expect the same results in your life (unless you are one of the lucky few, genetically blessed?) In Fit Over 40, Jon Benson and I started doing something similar to the anti-aging researchers He did in Okinawa, Sardinia, and California at the best level. He emphasized important physical activity and dietary factors that contribute to making you look and feel younger.
