We have the Nokia 920 the latest smartphone running the new Windows phone 8 operating system is a 4.5-inch screen as well as a dual 1.5 gigahertz processor So it should be pretty fast the main selling point of the 920 is its camera is 8-megapixel resolution it also includes what Nokia called Pure View technology but see how well it compares we're going to put it up against two of its main rivals the Samsung Galaxy S free and the iPhone 5 we did pictures in a range of conditions to see how each of the phones Performed in this shot all phones produce a good level of detailĀ the coloring variedĀ came out more blue on the 920 while the red of the berries came out with an almost cartoonish quality the 5 produced the most natural-looking colors of the three phones while the galaxy s3 produced very vivid colors but made the red berries look orange when we shot into the sun through the trees all the phone suffered from various degrees of lens flare and produced purple hazing some handled it better than others the minimized the flare to a fairly small section of the photo the foreground areas appeared particularly dark the same shot with the s3 produce much more flaring and again the foreground appeared very dark the iPhone retained a lot of the detail in the foreground and reduced a loss of the obvious flaring unfortunately it also produced an unsightly blue mark on the image when we took pictures of a fountain all three mobiles did well capturing movement and defining individual droplets the 5 produced a clear picture although despite being updated to the latest firmware the image was still plagued by a Purple Haze the s3 probably produce the best of the three shots creating an image without colored lens flare and with good detail the 920 unfortunately also suffered from purple lens flare which colored the droplets throughout the image not all the images we took in this position produced exactly the same effect they all had unnatural coloring from lens flare when we took the phones inside to see how they performed in low-light conditions we saw very different results in very low light the flash turned off the s3 performed very badly producing an almost black image with very little detail the 5 did well to produce an image it was still quite grainy and a fairly low quality the 920 on the other hand did well in these conditions and while the image wasn't as sharp as pitches in better lighting is still managed to produce a reasonable photo in challenging conditions to see more of our test photos click on the link below we'll also be sending the Nokia off to our labs to get the definitive verdict on its picture quality and for the latest mobile phone reviews visit. iPhone retained a lot of the detail in the foreground and reduced a loss of the obvious flaring unfortunately it also produced an unsightly blue mark on the image when we took pictures of a fountain all three mobiles did well capturing movement and defining individual droplets the 5 produced a clear picture although despite being updated to the latest firmware the image was still plagued by a Purple Haze the s3 probably produce the best of the three shots creating an image without colored lens flare and with good detail the 920 unfortunately also suffered from purple lens flare which colored the droplets throughout the image not all the images we took in this position produced exactly.
