BTS' V might appear composed, but he's not. The K-pop star recently shared he's 'pretending' to be calm. In addition to this, Kim Taehyung also spills beans about what keeps him going when he's hurting and struggling.
BTS' V is not a stranger to fame. Kim Taehyung has been in the limelight since his early teens and has been braving social scrutiny across the world. The Past few years, the Korean artist seems to have achieved a zen state. He's calmer and composed in official outings, has been enjoying his time off, is touring the world and also ignoring all the dating rumors that come his way. But is he truly calm and composed? Sit with the BTS star and he says no. In fact, he admits to 'pretending' his calm state sometimes.
"I may look calm, but I don’t feel calm all the time. I just pretend to be," he told Vogue Korea, adding, "I try to think clearly and hard in those moments so that I can act with the confidence that the decisions I make are the best for the situation even if they may not be ideal."
Kim Taehyung also shared what keeps him going on tough days. It's his close ones and, of course, his fans that keep him 'happy and healthy'. Despite all the attention and acceptance, the BTS star is conscious of what he's doing. He has a sense of responsibility, and he aspires to be a person of high standards.
"Everything I do comes with a feeling of responsibility, but I don’t regret anything I’ve done. I have to act kindly and nicely toward everyone who loves me. It’s our ARMY fan club members, my BTS group mates, my family and my friends who keep me happy and healthy when I’m feeling hurt and struggling," he shared in his interview.
V is the most followed BTS member on Instagram with over 51 million followers. Before he made his charismatic debut, he was the "secret member" of the boy band. The agency wished to keep him a surprise. Fans across the world were unaware of his existence until Countdown with the track "No More Dream" from their debut single album.
The 26-year-old is one of the most loved Korean stars across the world and has released three solo tracks under the band's name: "Stigma" (2016), "Singularity" (2018), and "Inner Child" (2020). In 2019, V released his first independent song, "Scenery". Kim Taehyung has also made tried his hand at acting. He appeared on The Poet Warrior Youth (2016) soundtrack alongside bandmate Jin.
BTS member V revealed that earlier he would be more reserved as he had been hurt by people who treated him 'as a valuable asset to know and not as a friend'. In a new interview, V called himself a people's person and adding that BTS members, the ARMY, his family and friends keep him happy when he is 'hurt and struggling'. He also spoke about how he enjoyed a recent get-together, which was also attended by other members. BTS comprises RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook.
A fan of Jazz music, V, aka Kim Taehyung, also teased that fans 'might be able to hear something jazzy' from him soon. He said that he liked jazz ever since he was a schoolboy, but it’s something that he 'only admired from afar and never dared to do myself'. He also said that he is 'intrigued' by whatever ARMY finds interesting. V added that as ARMY has been talking about wanting to hear him on the radio, so he wants to try something new.
In an interview with Vogue Korea, V said, "There is a feeling of responsibility in whatever I do, but I don’t regret what I’ve done. I want to be a good person for those who love me. Our ARMY, BTS members, family and friends keep me happy and healthy even when I’m hurt and struggling. I cherish human connection. I am a people person and I truly enjoy working with everyone I cross professional paths with, including artists, directors, writers, and journalists like you. In the past, I used to be more reserved because I had been hurt by people who treated me simply as a valuable asset to know and not as a friend. But I still like people. It is thanks to the wonderful people in my life that I am who I am now."
Speaking about the BTS members, V said, "We are a really positive group and all eager to unconditionally support each other. We had a meeting recently at Suga’s place to play the music we had been working on individually. We were dancing and praising each other non-stop. Being able to pursue one’s own music style lights the passion and enthusiasm in us. That’s what keeps us in love with what we do. I love seeing that."
V will be seen next with the other BTS members at a concert in support of the city's bid to host the World Expo in 2030. The Yet To Come free concert will be held at 6 pm on October 15 at the Asian Main Stadium.

In the viral photos, the K-pop stars are seen hugging each other and dancing the night away together. Apparently, a get together attended by who's who of the K-pop industry was held at a cultural complex in Seongsu-dong, Seoul. It saw popular faces from the Korean entertainment industry including actors and singers. V aka Kim Taehyung is also said to be a part of it.
As speculations around BTS' V and BLACKPINK's Jennie's relationship rise, Korean news portal JTBC reported that V not only just attended the private party of the Korean celebrities but he also spent time with Blackpink members--Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa.
