Top New games of 2022: all the upcoming PC games we're looking forward to

We're halfway through the year, and looking forward to the rest of the new games 2022 has to offer. The beginning of the year has stacked with huge new PC games like Total War: War hammer 3 and the long awaited, long meme. But big games aren't the only reason to be thrilled as a PC gamer in 2022. We're also welcoming the launch of Valve's hand our very own gaming console!

When you look at our list of the biggest games in 2022, you might feel a sense of déjà vu. It's true: some of the biggest games launching this year are ones we were expecting to play last year. The downstream effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and major developers working from home for most of 2020 and 2021 mean that last year was absolutely stacked with delays on games big and small.

This coming year may shake out in similar fashion, now that big game delays have become so much more commonplace. To help you keep track of what you'll actually be playing this year, we'll keep this list up to date when release dates move to later points in the year or, inevitably, into 2023,

There are both single-player and multiplayer modes in Doom Eternal, so after you've beaten the story, you'll have the opportunity to take your newly acquired skills online. However, it's not had the chance to proliferate the market over the course of multiple years. Doom Eternal has already solidified its status as one of the greatest games of the year, and is sure to be considered one of the best PC games of all time in the immediate future,

With such refined gameplay elements and in-game physics — especially in comparison to GTA IV, which was a beautiful title in its own right — alongside a vast arsenal of weapons, vehicles, houses, and so much more to obtain and experience, GTA's gameplay works alongside its story to make it one of the most replayable video games ever released.

Gameplay is refined and fantastic, with wielding multiple weapons (one for beasts, one for humans), and having access to a variety of magic. The main missions involve decision trees and NPC interactions that will determine of your progression. The world is extremely vast and detailed but more importantly, it doesn't feel empty, meaning you'll always be able to run as far as your eye can see just for the sake of exploration.

Whether you're exploring everything that its world has to offer, meeting in-game characters and fulfilling quests, or maybe just fighting every enemy within reach, the Witcher 3 has an astounding amount of content to experience that definitively solidifies it as one of the best PC games of all time.

Gameplay and exploration are extremely linear, with optimization having been focused on combat systems rather than locations. Reminiscent of the fluid battle mechanics of games like the Amazing Spider-Man and Dark Souls titles, players will have to constantly test their reactions as they weave in and out of battle with endless hordes of enemies. Customize your lightsaber, learn new skills and abilities, and find your preferred as you acclimate to the beautiful galaxy of this Star Wars title.
