CELLULITE
Cellulite is a skin condition that causes small lumps and fibers under the skin. Pimples are caused by the overgrowth of the underlying fat cells and stretching of the natural fibers that hold the skin down to the lower layer of tissue.
Cellulite is normal fat, but it is normal fat that affects the appearance of the skin. A dense collagen network connects the skin to the subcutaneous layer and separates the compartments containing the fat cells. As the cells grow, this area becomes enlarged, creating a puffy appearance of the skin.
Women get cellulite more often than men because the underlying layer that holds the fat cells has a vertical collagen pattern, and if the fat cells get too big, they protrude from the cells and look like cellulite.
In men, the collagen pattern is tighter in a diagonal pattern and the skin is thicker, so there are fewer individual fat cells. Another cause of cellulite is estrogen levels, as this hormone directly affects the storage capacity of fat cells by increasing alpha-adrenoreceptors, which are chemical receptors that want your fat cells to store their contents. Poor diet, poor circulation, and poor lymphatic circulation can all contribute to cellulite.
Dealing with CELLULITE
There are some additional steps that can be taken to treat cellulite. Consider your skin care regimen and address the needs of skin with fluid retention, oil retention, and poor circulation.
Nutrition: Although cellulite is a skin condition, it is strongly associated with excess fat storage. If you are overweight, you should definitely change your diet. The dietary enzyme bromelain can improve overall circulation to your skin and adipose tissue by removing fibrin buildup in blood vessel walls. Cellulite treatment requires a two-pronged approach - one is to shrink fat cells, and the other is to regenerate collagen and firm the outer skin of swollen fat cells.
Cleaning: When cleaning your skin, use a washcloth or loofah to massage the area where cellulite appears. Use a circular motion first, then a brushing motion upwards towards the intestine. This will improve circulation and edema and help remove toxins and metabolic waste from the tissues and interstitial spaces around the collagen and fat cells.
Other treatments include:
- Dry skin brushing: Learn to dry your skin at least twice a day - when you get up and before bed. Exfoliation provides many benefits in the treatment of cellulite. First, it is an "exercise" for your skin, strengthening the underlying dermis and collagen formation in the subcutaneous layer. It stimulates tissue growth and repair by increasing blood flow to the area. It also helps remove toxins and metabolic waste from the interstitial fluid that surrounds the tissues. Dry brushing is good for all areas of your skin, but if you suffer from acne or varicose veins, scrubbing this area vigorously several times a day, first in a circular motion and then upwards towards the abdomen, can increase the appearance of cellulite.
- Hormones: Cellulite is often associated with the use of HRT and birth control pills. The high estrogen levels from these medications can increase and increase the fat storage capacity of adipose tissue, causing loose skin and cellulite. If you use birth control pills, you can ask your doctor about a low-estrogen dose formula or a non-hormonal form like an IUD. If you are using HRT, you may want to switch to a lower dose, add progesterone cream, or use a weaker formulation such as estrone cream.
- Habit: Eliminate the habit of cutting legs, knees and feet. This reduces circulation and increases swelling. Try to move regularly without sitting for long periods.
- Exercise: Regular exercise is important to get rid of cellulite. Not only that it helps reduce the appearance of cellulite by burning fatty acids that cause cellulite. It also improves circulation and helps remove toxin-laden waste from the skin. Take a walking program during breaks or soak in a set of exercises in the toilet.
- Body wraps: Professional and homemade body wraps can improve the appearance of cellulite. The body wrap uses a combination of minerals and herbs to stimulate the release of fat cell contents, drawing toxins from the skin and reducing inflammation. You will usually find stimulating plants like kelp or algae that stimulate fat burning in the cells. You will find cosmetic clay that will remove toxins and dirt from the pores, and horseradish and chestnut that reduce inflammation.
