The mall is a shopping center located on the outskirts of Detroit. It was constructed in 1957 by Edward J. DeBartolo Corporation and opened as Eastland Center on October 25th, 1958. The mall's original anchor stores were Hudson's (now Macy's), JCPenney, Woolworth (now Target), and Sears. While it was considered one of the leading malls at its opening, it has seen many changes to its interior layout over the years due to changing consumer habits.
In 1978, DeBartolo sold Eastland Center to General Cinema Corporation which added a ten-screen movie theater to the mall.

Alton Square Mall in Alton, Illinois
Alton Square Mall is a mall located in Alton, Illinois. It was first built as an outdoor shopping center on October 17th of 1961. The mall was enclosed with a roof in 1972. The mall has seen its fair share of paranormal activity including reports of disembodied voices and sightings of shadow people. Employees have reported feeling cold spots throughout the building and seeing shadowy figures out of the corner of their eyes. A story goes that one night after closing hours, security guards heard a woman's voice coming from the theater department saying Let me out! When they went to investigate they found nothing out of place. They tried to call for backup but their walkie-talkies weren't working so they ended up leaving without any explanation why or how it happened.
