In Chennai, there are numerous ghosts that have been seen haunting some of the city's oldest homes and structures, therefore there is more than just one ghost house to tell the story of. In reality, Chennai is home to entire neighbourhoods that have been abandoned or kept vacant for years due to remorse that they are haunted and prone to situations that would scare the living daylights out of most people.
Demonte colony: The colony has a run-down appearance that is primarily caused by poor maintenance. There are a lot of trees along the roadways as well, which may be the cause of the solitude and the shadows. You can see why so many people think the colony is haunted by taking a peek at it. It does appear beaten down, and at night it will appear even more so. However, there hasn't been any conclusive evidence to support allegations that there are spirits in the area up to this point. Many people feel bad about the colony because it's in such a desirable area. They think that tales like these will only damage the reputation of such a location!
We don't really know if the rumours’ that De Monte Colony is haunted, though! But reading about such places is still a little exciting, isn't it? Whether you believe in ghosts and spirits or not, hearing such tales usually sends a shiver down your spine.
Blue cross road: You shouldn't be shocked to find a canopy of trees and hanging vines blocking the sun and the view of the sky because this route is thought to be haunted by ghosts and numerous suicides have occurred here. Spirits shamble down this ghostly street as a result of suicides. The locals have frequently witnessed a white, human-shaped creature wandering down this spooky route in the dark. One of the busiest bases for ghostly occurrences and roaming spirits is this road. The ghosts of those who committed suicide here may greet you if you happen to be passing by during the dark hours.
Broken bridge: Its is located at Besant Nagar right now. It was constructed primarily to aid fisherman in getting to the sea close to the Adyar river, but it was destroyed by high rains many years ago. One of the most spooky spots in Chennai is thought to be reeking of paranormal activity and has seen a lot of deaths. Unfortunately, for the aforementioned reasons, the damaged bridge has been off-limits to tourists for a while.
