Hello Tech Lovers,
Welcome to another related to unboxing. The mid-range budget segment is one area where Redmi has always stood apart from other OEMs. Their Mid-range devices are unmatched and thus became the No.1 choice for people in this segment. A clear example of Redmi’s power is the new Redmi Note 9 Pro Max. Today we will unbox the new Midrange beast and have a first look at the device.
So Let’s get started…!
The device comes in a regular white box with images of the device in all colours upfront. It has the No.1 tag at the top left and processor and camera features at the bottom.
The backside of the box has a more detailed feature listing with Snapdragon 720G, Quad camera array, Dot display and 33W fast charging feature highlighted. It also has the variant and the colour information and the Made In India tag.
The side of the box, as usual, has the pricing, contents and manufacturing details. The Made in India tag is also printed here.
Opening up the box, we have the first look at the device. Initial impressions, it is very big and will surely give a more immersive experience. The device is wrapped inside a plastic cover.
Taking the smartphone aside, It looks stunning, the most eye-catching feature upfront is the huge 6.5” display and the dot notch display. The display is very immersive with negligible bezels, chin and sides. It will be very useful for gamers as it has a wider view. The front dot notch has the 32MP selfie shooter for clicking stunning and more detailed groupies and selfies.
The backside of the device is something that we do not expect from a mid-range device. The glassy looks with the quad-camera array give you a premium look. The one which I am unboxing is the Glacier white one and it looks the most premium among the three colours. The Quad camera setup includes a 64MP main camera, 8MP wide-angle, 5MP Macro lens and a 2 MP depth sensor.
Overall unboxing and hands-on feel are not that of a Mid-range smartphone. The feel it gives when you are holding is priceless. Even though it has a massive 5020mAh battery, it still does not feel much heavy. Both the front and backside is protected with corning gorilla glass 5 and hence protect from scratches and minor falls. It also comes with splash-proof p2i nano-coating. Another highlight of the device is the power brick provided. It is a powerful 33W fast charger in the box that can charge the massive battery to 50%in last than 30min. The NavIC feature and side-mounted fingerprint scanner also bring excitement to the users. The device still has the 3.55mm headphone jack, IR Blaster and a dedicated SD Card slot.
Even if the time for the device is over and the brand has updated to the next series of Nore devices, it's still a good deal considering the price and amount of competition it has in this segment. A very good phone from Redmi and have helped them a lot to get back their market value which is getting lost due to tight competition from similar Chinese brands in India, The successor Redmi Note 10 and other of the same series has completely wiped other phones of this segment with its very defined, exciting and premium features but the comeback given by Redmi Note 9 series cannot be forgotten as well.
That's it with the unboxing,
Hope you enjoyed it.
See you soon...!!!
