What are Max Life Insurance Riders?

Rider benefits are used to increase the insurance policy's coverage. Riders can be acquired by the policy owner by paying an additional premium besides the insurance plan's base premium.

Here are the different perks of riders.

Comprehensive Accidental Benefit Rider or CAB Rider: In the event of the policy buyer's accidental death or dismemberment, an additional sum assured is paid out to the beneficiary.

Premium Plus Waiver: This rider option ensures that all future policy premiums are waived in the event of the insured person's death, illness, or dismemberment. If the policy buyer and the insured are the same person, the person nominated is entitled to avail of the benefit of waiver of future premiums. However, such a benefit can be claimed only in the event of a certain serious illness or dismemberment. If the covered individual and policyholder are not the same, the nominee will be entitled to a waiver of future premiums in the event of the policyholder's death, diagnosis of critical disease, or dismemberment.

Rider for Partner Care: The spouse care rider can be included in a life insurance policy to offer additional coverage to the insured person's dependents in the event of their death. INotably, in the case of the insured's death during the ongoing term of the policy, the insurance provider will pay all premiums to the nominee.

Exclusions of Max Life Insurance Plan

If the insured person, sane or of unsound mind, commits suicide within 12 months of the policy's inception or renewal date, no death benefit will be paid to their beneficiary. Subsequently, the insurance policy would be cancelled immediately. In such a situation, only 80% of the total premium paid is refunded to the insurance policy's nominee.

Additionally, the company does not entertain the nominee of an insurance plan to raise a claim in the following situation:

Participation in Rebellion and Civil Commotions: Any injuries experienced by the insured while participating in civil commotions are not covered by the Max Life insurance plan. In other words, the insurance provider will not be liable to pay for the death of the insured's untimely death if the event was influenced by the intention of inciting public discontent.

Loss of Life Due to Violation of the Law: In the event of the death of the policyholder caused by their participation in criminal activities, the insurance provider is not liable for providing death benefits to the insurance policy's beneficiaries. Violation of the law is considered to be a serious offense and hence it is not covered by the Max life insurance company.

It must be noted that the set of exclusions may vary among different types of insurance plans and policies extended by Max Life Insurance. The clauses of the same and their limitations may also be based on an individual’s personal and financial standing. Hence, individuals must find out all the required details about insurance exclusions before purchasing a specific plan.
