If you have not noticed the recent price of new computers or video games and gaming systems, you may be in for a shock. Today's games and gaming systems can run for just to four hundred dollars or more. For the loving mother of a sports-crazy teenager, the cost is astronomical and nothing short of terrifying. Fortunately the cost of purchasing quality computers or video games (the systems on which they run) can be significantly reduced when you know what to do and where to look.
One option to fund gaming quest with a second mortgage is "getting old." "Old" means buying games and game systems from the last month or year. If you can accept a truth we all know but do not face it easily, you can literally save hundreds of dollars instantly. It is true that none of us can buy the newest toy in the market unless you are a billionaire. The behind that fact is that relatively little time (60-90 days?) In the first place - at half price! So get old and have a little patience. In about three to four months, you will be making tremendous savings.

When it comes to computer gaming, it's a good idea to upgrade your game rather than the entire computer. It can take a gaming company a year or more to release a new version and does not require new hardware to upgrade — it requires a new payment. Remember, the gaming industry does not really sustain the computer industry (no one can), so there is no reason to panic or worry. Focus on running your game instead of your system. Only in rare cases, such as if your computer is initially outdated, will you need to upgrade your hardware. Shop wisely and you've got a new sound card, joystick or graphics card for sale. But if you have a high GHz processor and DirectX 9 installed, you'll be fine for a while.
Here's an idea and may not make as much effort to persuade young people as you think. But to curb the cost of gaming, perhaps a group of families can share financially together. Depending on the numbers in the group, the price of a new gaming system - and the most popular 5 or 6 games - may be 20% or more of their original price.
And as gaming consoles become smaller and smaller, there is no reason why a group of families should not get together and trade gaming space in their homes every week or two. That way the kids in the neighborhood can enjoy one or two new systems on the market that they may never buy and that only their parents can enjoy them without carrying the burden of funds.
Since children usually play games together, this kind of group effort will satisfy the desire for play at a very low cost and make everyone happy.
