Of course if they do not like that advice, they are asking Ford to follow their political advice.
.I think you can summarize this for nDP leader Andrea Harvard, Liberal leader Steven del Duga and Green leader Mike Screener - they want Ford to follow political science. If at least that leads to more restrictions or Govt.
On Thursday, they each called for a return to the mandatory mask, at least in some places but not at all, which makes even less sense.
"Duck Ford dropped the masks very soon. Now we pay the price," Harvard tweeted.
Shortly after Del Duga released a news release, it demanded that the mask be returned.
"As the number of COVID cases is now rising, Ontarians deserve science, not the silence of their provincial government," Del Duca said in a statement
He wants to bring the mask back, but not in all settings, in pharmacies, grocery stores and schools until the sixth wave is over, and it can be anytime.

I do not understand the idea. If we need a mask to keep us safe according to these politicians, bring it everywhere. Otherwise they are playing politics.

Yes, cases are on the rise in Ontario and can be expected after deregulation. If opposition leaders think we should always live within the limits, they should say so. Otherwise we have to stop wearing masks and doing politics
