Top Ice Dance For Those Who Love A Challenge

For those who love to dance but would like to try something a little more challenging, there is always ice dancing. This is a form of figure skating that also incorporates some ballroom dance rules and moves into the mix, which presents a bit more of a challenge and a few more restrictions on moves and creative license than traditional figure skating allows.

Ice dancing also requires music that has a definite rhythm or rhythm style, which offers a few more limitations than traditional figure skating. Ice dancing can be done for fun and enjoyment or as part of a competition. The competition in this fierce, if somewhat new (for the American audience anyway) is quite fierce between the dominant skaters and the world leaders in the field, much like traditional figure skating.

Ice dancing is a beautiful and flowing form of dance that many consider even more elegant than traditional ballroom dancing or traditional figure skating. The technical skills as well as the strength of each partner in this dance form is extremely demanding and in order to become or remain competitive in this style of dance one must constantly work at home and improve their skills.

If you have never had the opportunity to watch ice dancing, either on TV or live, I encourage you to take advantage of the next available opportunity. Ice dancing is a great way to spend an evening. It's a big hit with the girls if you happen to be a guy. If you happen to be the father of daughters, it makes you a hero in their eyes and gives them other dedicated and hard-working men and women to look up to as heroes as well.

As excited as you all are about the dips, spins, lifts and flips, you can't deny the dedication to the craft and sport that these skaters must endure to stay at the top of their games. I can think of few better heroes I would rather have for my children than athletes who put so much time, energy and effort into their sport.

For many, watching ice dancing is a fun way to spend an evening at home. However, watching ice dancing live is much more interesting for many fans and viewers. There is an energy and oneness with the crowd that simply cannot be conveyed through a television screen. Being one of the spectators at a live ice dance competition is almost as exciting to me as being at a live sporting event like a football or a race.

There's an electric energy to being part of a crowd that can't be matched on screen or through any other medium. It's a huge difference hearing the roar of the crowd or thunderous applause through the TV and hearing it all around you when you're sitting in the middle. It is truly an amazing and humbling experience.

Ice dancing is a highly competitive sport. If you have an interested child, or you're, be prepared to invest a lot of time and money in any serious competitive endeavor you may have in your future. As you probably understood, this is a partner competition. You must have a partner to truly compete. This is another source of time and effort for many. Not all partners are instant hits with each other, and the chemistry isn't always there. If it's a sport you're serious about pursuing, plan to invest a lot of time and effort in finding a good partner for your ice dancing endeavors. However, if you just want to participate as a spectator, you don't need a partner, and you're in for a lot of fun.
