Shreya Ghoshal is an Indian singer who was born on March 12, 1984. She is one of the best-known and highest-paid playback singers in Indian film, and she has won seven Filmfare Awards, four National Film Awards, two Tamil Nadu State Film Awards, 4 Kerala State Film Awards, two BFJA Awards, and 10 Filmfare Awards South. She established herself as one of the top playback singers in Indian cinema by recording songs for movies and albums in a variety of Indian languages. She has sung many songs in Bengali, and bhalobashar morshum is one of my favorites in them.

Ghoshal started studying music when she was four years old. She started formal training in classical music at the age of six. After she won the television singing competition SA Re Ga Ma when she was sixteen, she caught the attention of director Sanjay Leela Bhansali's mother. Shreya Ghoshal was born on 12 march 1984. She was born to a Bengali family in the city of Behrampur in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal. She was raised in Rawatbhata, a small town in the Rajasthani region close to Kota. She started learning music when she was four years old.

Ghoshal studied at Atomic Energy Central School No. 4 in Rawatbhata, where she completed eighth grade. Parag Agrawal, the former CEO of Twitter, was a classmate of Ghoshal in that school. In 1995, she took first place in the Light Vocal group at the sub-junior level of the All India Light Vocal Music Competition in New Delhi, which was put on by the Sangam Kala Group. She and her family moved to Mumbai in 1997 after her father was sent to the Bhabha Atomic Research Centre, where she joined the Atomic Energy Central School in Anushakti Nagar. To study science, she enrolled in the Atomic Energy Junior College. She left the junior college and enrolled at Mumbai's SIES College of Arts, Science, and Commerce, where she majored in arts with English.
