F: A response to the query ‘Do you know Facebook is selling you?’
The man who lived in a crowd has enriched his thinking from what is around him and has created innumerable achievements. However, religion, race, color, caste, etc., are all isolated as separatists in the grip of the overpowering economy of origin. At the moment, Facebook, which comes with the slogan "Making the World More Open and Connected", has reached the pinnacle of technology by connecting 100 crore people.
Length and width of Facebook:
* 58 MW of electricity (three times as much as the electricity used to light all the streetlights in Chennai Corporation) runs Facebook's farm of 1.8 lakh server computers.
* Facebook image servers process an average of 12 lakh photos per second (in four different resolutions). The total number of images on the site that handle all the images in the world (including Flickr) is less than the number of Facebook images!
* About 10,000 crore requests are processed by Facebook servers per day.
The question may arise as to what great technology Facebook is, a website like Facebook. The construction of the Tanjore Big Temple is an example of just how complex the work is as well as the most intricate engineering work for Facebook!
Engineering Challenges Facing Facebook:
Tens of thousands of people are watching the famous football match in Brazil, a South American country, live and on television. A break is left in the middle. At every break people open the bridge to drink soft drinks. They use an electric oven to eat something hot and smash. Electricity is rapidly swallowed up by a series of cohesive effects. It is therefore extremely difficult for power plant engineers to control the production and distribution dashboards.

But the day-to-day festivities on Facebook. Requests for millions of statuses, likes, events, comments, photos, pages are constantly piled up on servers. Speed is very important here. Every millisecond is worth it. Increasing the number of server systems alone will not solve the problem. The greater the number of servers, the more complicated it becomes to manage them. "Hip-hop" converts PHP programs into high-speed C ++ language and improves performance (capable of closely interacting with C ++ system hardware). It is worth noting that "Hip Hop" was created entirely by Facebook engineers.

Another technology developed by Facebook engineers is the "pickpipe" which divides Facebook pages into separate parts (pagelets) and runs them in parallel. I.e. Chat, Wall, Updates each run individually and in parallel.
Memcached:
Between the Apache WebServer and the MySQL Database Server, thousands of "meme-cached" servers work to speed up the delivery of information.
Apart from this, various technologies with "hashtags" to handle tens of billions of photos, "cassandra" for systematic storage of information, "varnishes" for high-speed operation, and yet-to-be-entered names such as Hadoff and Hype make server computers act like powerful world heroes.
