Elon Musk founded and leads Tesla, SpaceX, Neuralink The Boring and starlink internet Company.
As the founder and CEO of Tesla, Elon leads all product design, engineering and global production of the company's electric vehicles, battery products and solar energy products.
Since the company's inception in 2003, Tesla's goal has been to accelerate land reform to sustainable power. Tesla's first product, the Roadster sports car, was first introduced in 2008, followed by the Model S, launched in 2012, and the Model X SUV, launched in 2015. Model S received the Best Overall Car for Consumer Reports and has been awarded. Named the Ultimate Car of the Year by Motor Trend, while the Model X was the first SUV to ever gain 5 star safety ratings in all categories and categories under the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. In 2017, Tesla launched the delivery of the Model 3, an electric car with a large market distance of more than 320 miles, and unveiled the Tesla Semi, designed to save owners at least $200,000 over a million miles based on fuel costs alone. In 2019, Tesla unveiled Cybertruck, which will have better facilities than a traditional truck and more performance than a sports car, as well as a Model Y compact SUV, which began customer delivery in early 2020.
Tesla also manufactures three energy-saving products, a home-powered Powerwall battery, a Power pack retail battery, and a Mega pack, designed for use on a scaled-down scale. In 2016, Tesla became the first sustainable energy company in the world directly linked to the acquisition of SolarCity, a leading provider of solar energy systems in the United States, and in 2017 released Solar Roof - a viable and affordable power generation product.
As a leading designer at SpaceX, Elon oversaw the development of rockets and spacecraft to visit Earth orbit and other planets. In 2008, the SpaceX Falcon 1 became the first secretly conceived liquid rocket to reach orbit, and SpaceX made another history in 2017 by re-flying both the Falcon 9 rocket and the Dragon spacecraft for the first time. Shortly thereafter, the Falcon Heavy, the world's second-largest rocket, completed its first flight in 2018. In 2019, the SpaceX version capable of using Dragon spacecraft completed its first demonstration campaign, and the company will fly. NASA astronauts went to the International Space Station for the first time in 2020. Building on these achievements, SpaceX develops Starship - a fully reusable transport system that will carry crews and goods to the Moon, Mars and beyond - and Starlink, which will deliver high-end items. Broadband internet speed in areas where access was unreliable, expensive, or not available at all. By unlocking reusable rockets, SpaceX pursues the long-term goal of becoming the planetarium by building a self-supporting city on Mars.
Elon is also the CEO of Neuralink, which develops ultra-high bandwidth of communication technology to connect the human brain to computers.
He also introduced The Boring Company, which incorporates fast, affordable tunnel technology and a fully automated public transport system to reduce harmful urban congestion and allow for faster travel, and longer distances. The Boring Company built a 1.15-kilometer R&D tunnel in Hawthorne, and is currently building the Vegas Loop, a public transportation system at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Previously, Elon founded and marketed PayPal, the world's leading online payment system, and Zip2, one of the first online maps and directions.
