Introduction:
Hepatitis C is a liver disease caused by the hepatitis C virus (HCV). Hepatitis C is spread through contact with the blood of an infected person. Today, many people become infected with the hepatitis C virus by sharing needles or other devices used to make and inject drugs.

The progression of hepatitis C determines the long-term outlook. The CDC estimates that more than half of those with HCV infection develop chronic hepatitis C. Chronic hepatitis C is chronic and can lead to permanent cirrhosis or liver cancer.

Most people infected with the hepatitis C virus (HCV) develop a chronic or lifelong infection. If left untreated, chronic hepatitis C can cause serious health problems, including liver damage, cirrhosis, liver cancer and even death.
Hepatitis C pain feels like:
Many chronic HCV sufferers also complain of aches and pains. It causes severe pain in the liver in large numbers (found in the upper right corner of the abdomen) which is sometimes very dangerous. These pains are not associated with severe liver disease.
