Her official statement read: She said, “Despite taking all the precautions and safety measures, I tested positive just a little before the New Year. You name the symptoms, I had it. Even though it was one of my most harrowing weeks, I am recovering and feel better today, thanks to my vaccinations. “I request everyone to do the same and mask up. Hope to clear my tests and fly back home soon. My heartfelt thanks to the best family and friends I have and for all the prayers.”

Tollywood hero Mahesh Babu has tested positive to Covid-19 on his return from his Christmas-New Year vacation in Dubai. The actor took to his social media on Thursday to post an update about his health condition.

Kareena Kapoor Khan

Kareena Kapoor Khan reported positive for Covid-19 in the first week of December. The actress’s Covid-19 report was first confirmed by the BMC. She was also accused of violating Covid-19 norms by the BMC. The actress has now tested negative for Covid-19.

Rhea Kapoor

Film producer Rhea Kapoor and her husband Karan Boolani also tested positive for Covid-19. On her Instagram story today, Rhea Kapoor wrote: “Yes I’m positive for covid in spite of being super careful. But this is the nature of the pandemic.”

Mollywood star Prithviraj Sukumaran has tested positive for COVID-19. The actor announced his health update via his official social media handles on October 20. Prithviraj, on Tuesday, shared a post wherein he mentioned that he is asymptomatic and doing fine. Nonetheless, he has gone into isolation. He further stated in the post that all the primary and secondary contacts have been requested to get tested and duly isolated.

Tamannah Bhatia 

Actress Tamannaah Bhatia, who was reportedly shooting for a web series in Hyderabad, has tested positive for coronavirus. The actress was admitted to a private hospital in the city after she started showing symptoms of COVID-19. After the Baahubali star felt unwell, she was tested for COVID-19 and the results came back positive, DNA quoted a report from TV9 Telugu. The actress' parents had tested positive for the novel coronavirus in August. She had then shared the news on Twitter and was in isolating at that time.

With the growing number of COVID-19 positive cases in the country, a lot of celebrities from the film fraternity have also been infected by virus over the last few weeks. Makkal Needhi Maiam founder Kamal Haasan on November 22 said that he has tested positive for COVID-19 and that he has isolated himself at a hospital.

Mr. Haasan said that he had a mild cough after he returned from his recent trip to Chicago in the United States. “Please remind yourself that the COVID-19 pandemic is not over yet and be careful,” he tweeted.
