Top Book Review Net Entrepreneurs Only

Everyone loves to read other people's success stories because it gives us evidence that amazing things happen to ordinary people. We ourselves come one step closer to success by learning what they did to succeed. Such is the case with the ten stories told in Net Entrepreneurs Only - 10 entrepreneur Gregory K. Ericsson and Ernst & Young share their success stories. Ericsson interviewed ten of the most successful entrepreneurs of the turn of the century and presented their stories with a unique but effective use of entrepreneurial quotes. Quotes leave you with the feeling of actually interviewing an entrepreneur instead of reading a story about them. Each story is about 20 pages long but reads like 10 pages due to its large print and free flow. Among the 10 entrepreneurs named in the book are Jay S. Walker (priceline.com), Mike McNulty and Mike Hagen (VerticalNet), Christina Jones (PCRorder), William Porter and Christos Kotskos (E * Trade), Gregory K. Jones (UBID). ), Russell Horowitz (Go2Net), Ken Pasterna (Knight / Trimark), William Schrader (PSINet), Pierre Omidyar (eBay), and Mark Cuban and Todd Wagner (broadcast.com). Every entrepreneur has their own unique story of how and why they saw the Internet as a viable place to start a business, and each had a different way of getting there, but after reading all ten stories you will find You can see some common threads between very successful nets. Entrepreneur Although this book was written at a time when the success of the internet business was quite simple (the book was published in 2000), many of the key capabilities that these entrepreneurs possess can be applied in any industry in any age. Everyone is passionate about what they do to the point that they inspire others around them to have the same passion. Not everyone is afraid to take risks, whether other people disagree or not. At the same time, everyone knows that failure is inevitable when taking risks and understands that future success depends on the ability to learn from failure and move on. Another interesting thing that was mentioned in three out of ten stories is the fear of being blinded by an adversary whom they cannot see coming. They all talk about the proverbial child in her basement or garage that comes with the technology that keeps them out of business. Speaking of Mark Cuban, Todd Wagner said: "I know Mark is concerned about, among other things, the 12-year-old in the garage [with technological breakthroughs] and the adage about us being blind." This resemblance is particularly interesting, and I doubt it comes from the fact that many of these entrepreneurs were children and they are more afraid of coming second than anything else. They may be afraid that this "baby" will have the same passion and determination they once had, and that scares them more than anything. If I had read this book when it was written I would definitely have recommended it to any young entrepreneur. However, over the years I recommend it even more. I think this is a must read for anyone who wants to go into business or is in business right now. The only thing you can do now is to find out what happened to these entrepreneurs and their companies in the post-book period. The greatest joy in reading this book was trying to figure out if these companies still exist and if the same entrepreneurs are still running them. Knowing that there was a dot-com boom around that time and later a crash, I thought the business was still around 50/50 potential. I'm not going to ruin the personal surprise, but there were a lot of directions that went after these companies and Entrepreneur.com crashed. Some of the entrepreneurs we've all heard of (Mark Cuban), and some of the companies we know still exist and are very successful (eBay), but most average readers won't be aware of them. Searching to find out where they are today adds an extra dimension to the book that a reader would not experience if they read it when it comes out. Only Pure Entrepreneur - 10 Entrepreneurs By Gregory. Ericsson and Ernst & Young share their success stories which is a very interesting one for anyone who enjoys a good success story. However, it is really inspiring if you are an entrepreneur trying to come up with the next innovative success that keeps one of these ten entrepreneurs out of business.
