Bluetooth Definition 1.0
Bluetooth is the link. Bluetooth is an industry specification for connecting mobile devices to one another and other Bluetooth-enabled devices, such as computers, printers, peripherals, etc. It is designed to provide low-energy, wireless, personal area networks. Bluetooth's connections can be used without any cables or wires and can be used either between mobile devices, as with the original Bluetooth phones, or between devices such as computers and printers.
When connected through cables to form a Personal Area Network (PAN), there must be some type of infrastructure, such as the building or home, in which the endpoints are located. When Bluetooth devices are directly connected, without cables, they could be at any distance.
The latest version is Bluetooth 5.
Bluetooth low energy (BLE) is a specification that enables Bluetooth communication without the requirement of a continuous connection with the Bluetooth Low Energy devices. BLE is one of the newest additions to Bluetooth communication technology. BLE uses the latest radio technology and is a new feature of the Bluetooth specifications that have been added since the introduction of earlier versions of Bluetooth technology. Also, BLE devices have become one of the hottest gadgets.
Today, we are going to discuss Bluetooth.
Bluetooth is used by many gadgets such as mobile phones, handsets, headphones, headsets, digital music players, smartwatches, fitness trackers, or gadgets such as smartphones, notebooks, tablets. The connection between the device, (or the headset/devices) and the phone via Bluetooth is used for a variety of purposes:
To make a phone call.
To play and listen to digital music on a phone or on an MP3 player or MP5 player.
To interact with the smartphone without needing to use any cables.
To communicate and to exchange data with another connected Bluetooth-enabled device, such as the smartphone.
To exchange voice and data with other digital devices such as laptops and tablets or even other devices such as computers via Bluetooth technology.
Why Bluetooth is important?
Bluetooth has become a very important feature of the modern world. It is used for such diverse uses as:
To synchronize a music player or any other device with a smartphone or laptop or even a computer.
To share files between two computers or laptops.
To link two smartphones and then share files and information between the two smartphones.
To send data or files from a laptop to a handheld device and vice versa.
Bluetooth's technologies are a set of specifications that can be used to create a wireless connection between devices, whether they are phones, computers, wireless headphones, or just about anything capable of receiving and transmitting radio waves. Bluetooth's technologies is a set of specifications that was first introduced in 2001, with the final version released in 2003. These specifications were then updated and now Bluetooth can be used to connect to a range of devices including cell phones, handsets, mobile computers, gaming consoles, and various other devices.
This system of communication was created by a consortium of companies, mainly from the United States and Europe. These companies introduced Bluetooth specifications to the public in 2001. These companies decided to use wireless communications for a different reason. Wireless communication has many advantages over other forms of communication, such as wired communications.
An example of wired communication would be using cables to communicate between two computers. In this case, it might be difficult for you to communicate if one computer is somewhere different from the other one. Another example of wired communication would be using cables to communicate with your mobile phone. In this case, if you want to use this device at home, you must be able to take it into your home with you so that you can charge it and exchange data with it. Using wireless communications, the connection can be created using a wireless signal which can travel anywhere.
Bluetooth was created for the purpose of connecting devices such as cell phones, printers, cameras, or any other device where connecting wirelessly was a major disadvantage. Wireless technology was seen as a solution to this problem and Bluetooth, wireless technologies were proposed to solve this problem.
