Battlegrounds Mobile India. When online multiplayer battle royale game developed and published by South Korean video game developer, has announced a promotional partnership with Sony Pictures and the hotly anticipated Spider-Man: No Way Home, as the game’s first collaboration with Sony Pictures.
Starting from today, Battleground Mobile India players will have the opportunity to get exclusive items such as collaboration skins by completing in-game missions. More details on gameplay and items will be revealed with the launch of Battlegrounds Mobile India Version 1.8 update in mid-January.
This exciting collaboration will allow fans around the world to expand their engagement with their friendly neighborhood Spider-Man through Battleground Mobile India’s state-of-the-art gaming experience – all while on the go with their mobile phone, Global Partnerships and Brand Management and Head of Location Based Entertainment at Sony Pictures Entertainment.
In Spider-Man: No Way Home, for the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his superhero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse. Spider-Man: No Way Home released in India on December 16th.
it is safe to speculate that we could see Spider-Man: No Way Home themed skins, costumes or even a special game mode for a limited time. Alternatively, we could also expect special rewards themed around the movie.
This isn't the only collaboration we’ve seen this year on Battleground Mobile India. A few weeks ago, teamed up with Riot Games for its League of Legends: Arcane show. The crossover, which was part of the update 1.7, brought a new game mode dubbed ‘Mirror World’ via the Wind Wall portal on the ground.
Moreover, they also allowed players to play as one of the four characters from League of Legends and Arcane. Players were also offered special rewards as a part of the aforementioned crossover.
First things first, one of the most anticipated events, Battleground Mobile India x Spider-man No Way Home, has been unveiled with the new update. The event consists of Spiderweb ball, Challenge the boss, and Spider-man's web shooter power. The Spider-man web ball lets you reduce the speed of nearby players by attacking with the spider web ball.
With Spider-man's web shooter power, gamers can use the web shooting technique of Spider-man after grabbing web shooters inside the map. In Challenge the boss mode, players get a chance to take down the boss with Spider-man inside. As of now, the Spider-man event is only available for two maps.
Moving on to another major addition, gamers will get a refreshed experience with the all Aftermath map in Battleground Mobile India:The map can be accessed in the classic mode and is based around volcanic eruptions:
The eruption becomes a significant reason for the snow meltdown on the map. This will remove most of the restrictions and easily spot the enemy in the game. However, you have to keep it in mind that the enemy can also spot you quickly.
Recall tower feature has also been added to the game that will let the players bring back their dead teammate. The feature can be used in three different maps at this point in time - Aftermath.
