THE MIRACLES OF THE QUR'AN SCIENCE

INTRODUCTION

Fourteen centuries ago, God sent down the Qur'an to mankind as a guide. He asked people to be guided in the truth by sticking to this book. From the day of its revelation until the day of judgment, this last book of the divine will always be the only guide for mankind.

The incomparable design of the Qur'an and the superior wisdom contained therein are proof that it is the word of God. In addition, the Qur'an contains many miraculous signs, which prove that it is a revelation from God. One of these signs is that the vast majority of scientific facts which we have been able to reveal only with the 20th century technology, mentioned in the Qur'an 1,400 years ago.

Yes, the Qur'an is not a science textbook. However, many scientific facts are presented in a very brief and profound way in its verses that were discovered only by 20th-century technology. These facts were not known at the time of the revelation of the Qur'an, and this is further proof that the Qur'an is the word of God.

To understand the scientific wonder of the Qur'an, we must first look at the level of science at the revelation of this holy book.

By the 7th century, with the advent of the Qur'an, Arab society was steeped in superstitious and unproven superstitions when it came to scientific matters. Lacking the expertise to study the universe and the environment, these early Arabs believed in mythology that had been passed down through the ages. For example, they thought that the mountains supported the sky above. They believed that the earth was flat and that there were high mountains on both ends. These mountains were considered to be the pillars that kept the sky-high.

Yet, all these superstitious beliefs of the Arab community were abolished by the Qur'an. In Surah Sad, verse 2, it is said: "God is the One who raised the heavens without support ..." (Qur'an, 13: 2). This verse dispels the notion that the sky is always high because of mountains. In many other articles, important truths were revealed at a time when no one else would know. The Qur'an, which was revealed at a time when people knew very little about astronomy, physics, or biology, contains important facts about such topics as the creation of the universe, the creation of man, the formation of the universe, and the precise dimensions that make life on earth possible.

Now let us look at some of these scientific wonders revealed in the Qur'an together.

THE COMING OF THE WORLD TO EXIST

The origin of the universe is explained in the Qur'an in the following verse:

He is the Originator of the universe. (Qur'an, 6: 101)

The information provided in the Qur'an fully complements the findings of modern science. The conclusion reached by astrophysics today is that the universe, along with the size of matter and time, was formed by a huge explosion that occurred in an instant. This event, known as the "Big Bang" proved that the universe was created from nothing by a single point explosion. Modern scientific circles agree that the Big Bang is the only logical explanation for the origin of the universe and how the universe came into being.

Before the Big Bang, there was no such thing. From a state of nonexistence in which there is nothing, power, or even time, and which can only be described figuratively, story, power, and time are all created. This fact, recently discovered by modern physics, was revealed to us in the Qur'an 1,400 years ago.                              GLOBAL EXPANSION

In the Qur'an, revealed 14 centuries ago in astronomy, the expansion of the universe was described as follows:

And let Him build the heavens with power, and We are the ones who keep adding. (Qur'an, 51:47)

The word "heaven", as mentioned in this verse, is used in various places in the Qur'an with the meaning of the universe. Here, too, the word is used in this sense. In other words, in the Qur'an it is revealed that the universe is "growing". And this is exactly the conclusion that science has reached today.

Until the beginning of the 20th century, the only theory that existed in the scientific world was that "the universe has a fixed nature and has existed since time immemorial". Research, observations, and statistics by modern technology, however, reveal that the universe had a beginning and that it is “expanding” constantly.

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Russian physicist Alexander Friedmann and Belgian cosmologist Georges Lemaitre calculated the theory that the universe is constantly moving and increasing.

This fact was further demonstrated by observation in 1929. When he looked at the sky through a telescope, American astronomer Edwin Hubble discovered that the stars and galaxies were always far apart. An atmosphere in which everything is sitting apart from everything else means a place that is constantly growing. Subsequent experiments confirmed that the universe is constantly evolving. This fact was explained in the Qur'an when no one was aware of it. This is because the Qur'an is the word of God, the Creator, and the Sovereign of the universe.

THE DIVISION BETWEEN "HEAVENS AND EARTH"

Another passage about the creation of the heavens is as follows:

Do they not see that they can not believe that the heavens and the earth were united (as one nature), before We separated You, and made with water every living thing? Will they not believe? (Qur'an, 21:30)

The word R-ATQ translated "sewn" means "one-of-a-kind, combined" in Arabic dictionaries. It is used to refer to two different things that make up a theme. The expression "we are not sewn" is a verb that is used in Arabic and means that something happens by ripping or destroying the structure of R-ATQ. Growing seed in the ground is one of the actions in which this action is used.

Let's look at this verse again with this information in mind. In the verse, the sky and the earth are initially under the status of R-ATQ. They are separated one from the other. Interestingly, as we recall the early times of the Big Bang, we see that one point covered everything in the universe. In other words, everything, including the unseen “heaven and earth,” was placed on this point in a R-ATQ. This point exploded in force, making its story and in process creating the formation of the universe.

When we compare these words with the findings of science, we see that they are in complete harmony. Interestingly, these effects did not come until the 20th century.

NEWS

When referring to the Sun and the Moon in the Qur'an, it is emphasized that each one walks in a straight line.

He is the One who created the night and the day, and the sun and the moon. They swam together, each on the trail. (Qur'an, 21:33)

It is also stated in another verse that the Sun is not stationary, but moving in a straight line:

And the sun runs to its resting place. That is the law of the Almighty, the All-Knowing. (Qur'an, 36:38)

These facts mentioned in the Qur'an have been discovered by astrology in our time. According to astronomers' calculations, the Sun is traveling at a tremendous speed of 420,000 miles [720,000 km] an hour towards the star Vega on a certain path called the Solar Apex. This means that the sun travels approximately 17,280,000 kilometers a day. Along with the Sun, all the planets and satellites within the solar system also travel the same distance. Moreover, all the stars in the universe move in an orderly fashion.

That the universe is full of such ways and paths, it is recorded in the Qur'an as follows:

With a sky full of paths and trails. (Qur'an, 51: 7)

There are about 200 billion galaxies in the universe, with nearly 200 billion stars in each galaxy. Most of these stars are planets, and most of those planets are satellites. All these celestial bodies are moving along a computer-generated precision. For millions of years, each one has been "swimming" in its own way in perfect harmony with the rest. In addition, many comets also travel in designated roads.

Space trains are not limited to celestial bodies. Galaxies also travel at great speed through computer-generated channels. During this ordeal, none of these celestial bodies cross each other's paths, or collide with one another.

Indeed, at the time of the revelation of the Qur'an, mankind had no modern telescope or advanced telescope technology, or modern knowledge of physics or astronomy. Therefore, at that time, it was impossible to scientifically determine that the area was "full of paths and trails" as stated in the verse. However, this was clearly revealed to us in the Qur'an, which was then revealed: - because the Qur'an is the word of God.
