Top Article: Overview of Heart diseases

The heart is considered the most important organ of the human body because it is the main source of human life. Heart disease refers to any condition of the heart where the cardiovascular system, which consists of the heart and blood vessels, is affected in order to function normally. Cardiovascular disease, coronary heart disease (CHD) and ischemic heart disease are some terms synonymous with heart disease.

The human heart is basically a muscular organ about the size of a fist and is located behind the left side of the sternum. It consists of four chambers and six blood vessels. The main function of the heart is to maintain and control blood circulation throughout the body. Basically, it carries oxygenated blood and supplies it throughout the body, and in return receives deoxygenated blood, which again supplies oxygen and circulates throughout the body. Another function of the heart is to transport carbon dioxide and other waste products to the lungs, kidneys and liver to be eliminated from the body.

Heart disease can be structural or functional. However, anything that prevents the heart's functionality from pumping oxygen to the body, or in any way causes its efficiency to decrease, is alarming because it leads to a disconnection of the heart's relationship with other organs of the body, such as the lungs, kidneys, and blood vessels.

Heart disease can lead to myocardial infarction, also called myocardial infarction. It can also cause congestive heart failure, angina PEC Tori s, heart stroke, sudden cardiac arrest (SCA) and even ischemia.

Coronary heart disease, or atherosclerosis, is a type of heart disease in which the blood vessels responsible for carrying oxygen and blood to the heart become narrowed. Blood vessels can become narrowed as a result of plaque buildup on the inner lining (endothelium) of the walls of arteries or coronary arteries.

Ischemic heart disease is the most common and most common cause of heart disease. However, it could be controlled with small lifestyle changes as well as some supplements and medical treatment.

Peripheral artery disease is another type of heart disease in which plaque builds up on the inner walls of the arteries that are responsible for carrying blood from the heart to the head, limbs and internal organs. Another name for this disease is atherosclerosis. In this case, the arteries can become narrowed or even completely blocked, resulting in reduced or obstructed blood flow.

This is a serious condition because the obstruction in blood flow causes the patient to suffer severe pain and numbness. A person suffering from this disease lacks the ability to fight infections. Impeded blood flow in severe conditions also causes gangrene and amputation.

The risk of coronary heart disease increases six- or seven-fold in patients with peripheral artery disease. Peripheral artery disease is also likely to increase the chances of blocked arteries in the legs. It also increases the likelihood of a heart attack, stroke or mini-stroke.

Early diagnosis and treatment followed by lifestyle modification is strongly recommended to prevent any major loss or disability from the disease.

Valvular heart disease is another type of heart disease in which one or more heart valves stop working properly.

Congestive heart failure is another type of heart disease in which the heart loses its ability to function as it should. In this case, the heart either becomes unable to supply blood to the whole body with sufficient force, or it may not receive enough blood to supply the whole body.
