2. Leatherback sea turtles:-
These are the largest of the leatherback sea turtle turtles. They have also been kept in the category of extinct animals. They are found in the Atlantic, Alaska, New Zealand, and Indian oceans. Earlier their number was about one lakh, which has come down to only 15 thousand. The reason for their extinction is due to the pollution in the sea.
3. Chinese Giant Salamander:-
This creature is a mixed form of fish and crocodile. This looks very strange. In today's time, these creatures are also on the verge of extinction. It lives in the mountainous forests of central and southern China. This creature can grow up to 6 feet. Also, it can lay more than 500 eggs at a time.
4. The Saola:-
This creature looks like Barasingha. Its weight is up to 100 kg. These are found in Laos and Vietnam. Their number is reduced to just 100. These creatures are also disappearing fast. They were last seen in the year 2013. Since then, the search for them has been going on.
5. Western Lowland Gorilla:-
These are found in West Africa. Hence they are called Western Lowland Gorillas. Their numbers have decreased by about 80 percent in the last few years. The reason for their extinction is not hunting, but they are suffering from a disease called Ebola.
6. Northern Sportive Lemur:-
This creature belongs to the species of monkey. They are found on the island of Madagascar in southeast Africa. They weigh less than 2 pounds. Now their number is reduced to just 20. If these are not taken care of, soon, this creature will also become extinct.
7. Ivory Build woodpecker:-
These birds are also on the end of extinction. It is found in the southeast of America and Cuba. Very few of them are left. This bird has become so rare that it is tough to find it. It was considered extinct in the year 2004 itself, but it has been seen again. But their exact number has not been calculated.
8. Tiger:-
The national animal of India, the tiger, is also in the category of rare creatures. Due to the increasing demand for their skins, teeth, and nails, they are increasingly being hunted. A mission is also being run in India for their protection under the name Save Tiger. Under which their hunting is completely banned. Earlier, its number in India had reduced very little, but the number of tigers has increased here in Gujarat, India, in a few years. There are a total of 411 tigers here.
