Hi there. If you are a software, software development, software engineering, and coding student and are looking for some great resources, you have come to the right place. In this article, I will share seven websites you can use to read code accessible from the comfort of your office and home.
1. Freecodecamp.org
This is one of the most fantastic community websites that will help you learn to write for free, build real projects and get a job as an engineer.
It has an extensive collection of practical tutorials and exercises to learn JavaScript, Data Formats and Algorithms, Frontend Development, and so on.
Established by Quincy Larson, this is a great place to start your coding journey. They have a great Facebook group (freecodecampearth) to ask questions and share your reading experience.
2. Udemy.com
One of the best places to learn online. You will find online courses on all the latest technologies and programming languages such as Java, Spring, Data Formats and Algorithms, Selenium, REST, etc. Offers free and paid services.
Here's a helpful free course to learn some of the most popular technologies:
1. Java course for complete beginners (link)
2. Simple Data Development Structures (link)
3. Introduction to Python Programming (link)
4. Advanced and Object-Oriented JavaScript and ES6(link)
Paid resources are also very cheap, and you can buy them for just $ 9.99 at the time of their flash sales, which happens a lot. It's full of some great teachers who love it.
Colt_Steele, Rob Percival, Stephen Grider, Josh Portilla, John Purcell, etc.
3. Coursera.org
This is another excellent online learning website. One of the well known Stanford's professors
Andrew Ng, the co-founder of DeepLearing.ai, and Daphne Koller are the co-founders of Coursera. It also offers online courses, technologies, and qualifications.
A leading part of Coursera is that it offers online courses from Universities such as Stanford, University of London, University of Michigan, Colorado, Imperial College London, and many more.
Provides free and paid online courses and technologies. Some of my favorite free courses from Coursera are:
1. Algorithms Part I and Part 2 by Robert Sedgewick (link)
2. Machine Learning by Andrew Ng (link)
3. Python for Everyone (link)
Coursera also gives you a certificate, which you can show on your Linkedin profile, but you need to pay for it.
Also, suppose you find Coursera courses practical because reputable companies like Google make them, IBM, Amazon, and top universities worldwide. In that case, I suggest you join Coursera Plus, a subscription program from Coursera.
These single subscriptions give you unlimited access to their most popular courses, technology, technical certification, and targeted projects. It costs about $ 399 / year but your total amount as you get unlimited certificates.
4. Codecademy.com
Collaborative tutorial to learn some of the most popular technologies like JavaScript, Java, Linux for free. It also has some paid tutorials for learning advanced concepts in Python, Java, and JavaScript.
Btw, this is one of the first websites to bring collaborative reading to the image. It is a JavaScript lesson, probably the most popular lesson for learning JavaScript online.
5. learnpython.org
An excellent website for learning the basics of Python. One of the most popular programming languages of this decade that allows you to do many things by simply doing trivial things goes to the developing websites now used in Machine Learning and Science Data.
That's about some of the best websites to learn to enter code for free. These websites are great tools for learning programming languages like Python and Java, evergreen technologies like SQL, working systems like Linux, Web development frameworks like Flask, React, and Ruby On Rails, functional programming languages like Haskel, learn how to build a website, and several other free tutorials.
6. Pluralsight.com
One of the best websites to learn any technology or IT courses is program language like Java, Web development framework like spring framework, Hibernate, etc.
It is now available with CodeSchool previously, which allows you to learn web technology by doing it. I use this website to learn a lot of cool stuff quickly.
This way, you will need a Pluralsight membership to join this course, which costs about $ 29 per month or $ 299 per year (14% discount). If you do not have this program, I highly recommend joining because it enhances your learning, and as a program, you always need to learn new things.
Alternatively, you can also use their 10-day trial to watch this course for FREE.
7. Code4startup.com
A great website to learn how to pay for building actual companies and a real project by Leo Trieu.
It is one of the best places to learn Web Development from scratch by building four real online businesses in 3 months like Airbnb, Uber, etc.
