Top 7 Ways to save Energy

Energy crises are the problem being faced by the entire world at the moment. The energy crises have multidimensional difficulties and effects. It is affecting our environment, economy. Energy is the essential requirement to run our resources, but the crisis is causing impacts on the agriculture, industrial sectors. Besides, it caused the rise in unemployment as well as in poverty. The shortage of energy affects the production, yield which ultimately lowers the GDP in countries of the world, affecting economies. The world needs cheap energy with low carbon to increase the profit ratio and protect our environment respectively.

Presently China is the largest consumer of energy due to the highest factories and industries, while America is the second-largest consumer. Currently, most countries are using fossil fuels like Oil and Charcoal to generate energy, but these resources are speedily running short, and deposits are reducing considerably day by day.

In the circumstances, we require to reduce usage and consumption of energy by replacing old accessories with new ones developed through recent new technologies. LEDs are the example which has replaced bulbs, tube lights as it consumes pretty low energy.  It is now a requirement of the world to look for renewable energy resources to meet their requirement. The underdeveloped countries are especially facing this problem as a massive number of people reside in remote areas; hilly stations are still using solid fuels for energy, which causes pollution to the environment but also causing deaths where improper ventilation exists.

Overpopulation, old infrastructure is the other two reasons for the energy crises. As with the growing population, the requirement for energy is increasing day by day while the aging infrastructure installed as transmission lines are causing leakage and ultimately results in line losses. Similarly, we are wasting energy and don’t care for its judicious use, which helps us increase our savings, but at the same time, we stand helpful to the others by way of saving energy which the others can use.

Following are ten possible and workable ways to save energy; -

Reviewing and changing our behavior can contribute up to an acceptable extent. We should always try to become part of responsible citizens. We need to switch off those lights and appliances that are not our need, and we can do our job without these. We can dry our crockery, clothes by placing them in the sunlight or hanging these to get dry instead of using dryers.

It is changing & replacing the light bulbs with LEDs that are environmentally friendly and have low power consumption.

Installation of Programmable tools like a thermostat, which helps us adjust, decrease the heat or cooling while we are sleeping or away from the Office/ home. Instead of unnecessarily keeping continuous usage, such sorts of programmed thermostats work as per the schedule we fixed.

Usage of energy-efficient tools and appliances. Whenever we have to purchase any such device (s), it must be kept in mind that it is energy efficient and uses low power. Although such tools are a bit expensive, the saving in consumption aggregates in much more than the difference in its cost

.

Reduce Expenses on Water Heating. A high ratio of energy is being consumed for hot water. We can cut down our expenses under the purview and save energy for the others as well. We should use less warm/ hot water, insulate the pipelines coming out from geysers, or install good quality thermostats. Similarly, we must keep these geysers switched off while not in use. In addition to it, the instant geysers are also helpful in minimizing less usage of energy.

Installation of energy-efficient windows. If we install single pan windows in our houses instead of double pans, it helps keep our homes helpful in energy saving. Be sure that there is no leakage through the window(s); the glass installed therein is proper and not broken.

Weatherizing homes and offices. We must take care that our rooms of office and home are appropriately weatherized. No leakage exists, which might cause an increase in warming or cooling our rooms, and ultimately, it results in high energy consumption.
