Top 7 Things Hidden Depression makes you do

When someone has depression, it’s normal to feel bad. It’s not always easy to cheer up or to do your daily activities. Even though it can be such a hard time, there are 7 things that depression makes you do.

1. You stop doing things

After experiencing depression, you might stop caring about the things you used to enjoy. This makes it even harder to do them. It’s normal to feel like that.

Your mindset changes, and you start seeing your life more from the perspective of others. So it’s important to find something that brings you joy. This can be anything, so choose something that does not involve having to do chores.

2. You stop worrying about things

When someone is in depression, they may stop worrying about how they’re doing or what’s happening to them. This is also normal. When you’re in the midst of depression, it’s easier to not worry about how you’re feeling.

When someone is in depression, worrying will make you think about how bad things are and that will make you feel worse.

3. You feel alone

People in the midst of depression might feel like they’re the only one in the world. They’ll feel guilty for making anyone else feel this way. They won’t want to let anyone close to them because they’re afraid that they’re going to hurt them.

When someone is in the midst of depression, they need to seek help immediately. This is because, if left untreated, this is what can lead to suicide.

4. You start having compulsive behavior

If you’re in the midst of depression, you may start doing things you shouldn’t be doing. For example, if you’re out of milk, you may just run back out and buy more. Or you might keep going to the same place, just so you can walk past the 7-11 again.

Even though you don’t want to do these things, you know that you need to do them to feel better.

5. You can’t stop obsessing over the same things

When someone is in the midst of depression, they may keep repeating the same things in their head. This can be from the past, which will make them feel like they’re going to die if they keep going through this.

6. You start feeling as if no one cares

When someone is in the midst of depression, they may feel like no one cares about them. They might feel that no one is watching over them, or that they’re alone in the world.

In addition to feeling like no one cares about you, you may not want to get out of bed, eat, or do anything for that matter. When you’re in the midst of depression, you may not want to live anymore.

7. You want to change yourself

When you’re in the midst of depression, you may feel like changing yourself. This can be for the better or the worse. For example, if you’re at work, you may feel like changing your clothes, hairstyle, and voice.

You might not want to be the same person as you used to be. You might want to feel different, and that is perfectly okay.
