Meet the huge creatures that have inspired researchers thought the ages. The largest living things in the world call the sea their home and, in fact, the largest creature to have lived in the ocean. Here are different sea giants.
1. The whale shark
This is one of the largest creatures on the earth. They can weigh more than 30 tons. Slow-moving, easy to recognize by the pattern of white spots on its body and flathead, the whale shark is not a mammal despite its name. It's a shark. This giant kelp often grows in turbulent water, which brings renewed supplies of nutrients, allowing some to grow to a height of 175 feet. These kelp species act as a backbone for the lush ecosystem, helping species thrive in national marine sanctuaries. It is not a plant; it is a heterokont. The seaweed grows as fast as half a meter a day. It can live up to 10 years.

5. Phytoplankton
Phytoplankton is the smallest plant to be found in the sea. Most Phytoplankton is too small to be individually seen with the unaided eye. However, when present in large numbers, they appear as green discoloration of the water. Phytoplankton form the base of the marine and freshwater food webs and keys players in the global carbon cycle. Phytoplankton is a catch-all category for all the tiny aquatic organisms that can turn sunlight into food via photosynthesis.
6.The Dwarf Goby
The smallest fish in the sea is the Dwarf goby, which lives in the Indian Ocean, in the brackish waters around Indonesia and Singapore. The dwarf goby is a tropical species of fish in the subfamily from brackish water and mangrove areas in Southeast Asia. Fully grown, it is less than a centimeter in length. It is one of the smallest fish species in the world.
7.The sperm whale
