Top 7 causes of acne during adolescence

Acne is a special skin disease. It is not a contagious disease. It is more common in adolescents aged 12-21 years. It is more common in adults. It is more common in 45% of adolescents. So it is called adult disease.

What are the causes of adult acne? Why are they discussed below?

  1 stress

Stress is responsible for acne. Researchers did not know this before.
Until recently, researchers are now beginning to understand the interrelationship between stress and acne.  For adult acne patients, stress is considered to be the leading cause of post-adolescent breakouts.

When we are under stress, the brain triggers the central nervous system, which sends signals to the rest of the body as part of a rapid response.  Part of this response is releasing hormones from our adrenal glands and the fatty glands under the sebaceous glands under the skin. When the sebaceous glands swell, it appears as acne.

Both hormonal imbalances and fatty secretions clog the pores and thus can be seen gently on the face, chest, and back.

  2. Hormonal imbalance

Hormonal imbalances as the cause of adult acne mainly affect women.  An imbalance that occurs during a woman's menstrual period or pregnancy can lead to an outbreak of acne.

Some adult women report having acne episodes during their menstrual period.  Because of bleeding in the body during menstruation
Hormonal imbalances. Some birth control pills can make acne worse.  This is due to the retention of the hormone progestogen.

Although men do not have a menstrual cycle in their bodies, it is not due to any reason (nightmares, masturbation).
 Loses balance.

 Some medications make acne worse.
For example, some medicines are taken for epilepsy, and steroid creams and ointments are used for eczema.

 3. Coffee Consumption Adults tend to consume more coffee than teenagers.  The caffeine in coffee and tea stimulates the production of cortisol, also known as the stress hormone.  As mentioned, hormonal imbalances are known to contribute to adult acne.

This one has long been supported by no scientific evidence yet.  While it may seem like an outbreak of experience when certain people eat certain foods, no universal law applies to everyone.  Eating pizza, chocolate, nuts, and fatty foods will not increase your acne.

 4. Smoking

Chemicals introduced into the body by cigarette smoking restrict blood flow to skin cells, inhibiting the skin's ability to heal and regenerate.  Toxins released in cigarette smoke can clog pores and cause bacteria to develop in the pores, all of which contribute to adult acne.

 5. Heredity

Recent studies have shown that adult acne patients have a family history.  This means that the disease is caused by genetic factors. If someone in the family has suffered from this disease before, there is a possibility of getting this disease.

6.Environmental work conditions that remove the skin from high levels of contaminants, irritants, or moisture cause the growth of adult acne.

 7. Excessive use of cosmetics and use of adulterated cosmetics causes redness and irritation of the face.
