1. ON WRITING BY STEPHEN KING
Stephen King is a thinker and writer. And the man writes the books like it’s nothing. Only that fact makes you want to read more about it as his mind works.
If you write and haven’t read On Writing, it’s time to stop everything you find in that book.

2. ON WRITING WELL BY WILLIAM ZINSSER
A solid book with solid ideas about writing. When you start reading this book, you can tell the man knows the writing business. And he knows it well.
Zinsser, a well-reputed writer, and teacher talk about this book's principles and ways of writing. But he also shares tips about different writing styles such as memoirs, sports, business, and humor.
3. THE ELEMENTS IN STYLE BY WILLIAM STRUNK AND E.B. WHITE
It’s short, simple, and to the point. This is more of a technical book with writing suggestions about the English language.
In this little book, Strunk and White do a great job presenting the most common style errors.
Style is such a unique thing that I try to refer to this book often.

4. ERNEST HEMINGWAY ON WRITING BY LARRY W. PHILLIPS
There’s no point in refusing it; Hemingway was one of the best writers of modern history.
And this short book is a collection of letters he presented to his editor, friends, and other authors.
He didn’t want them to be published in the beginning. Hemingway believed that there’s nothing special in writing about writing.
This book is not only covered with writing advice. It also shows Hemingway’s fun-loving character.
5. NOBODY WANTS TO READ YOUR SHIT BY STEVEN PRESSFIELD
Pressfield is one of most favorite writers. The War Of Art is a classic written by him.
In this book, he talks about why no one thinks about your shit. If you’re putting effort into writing and no one is reading it, read this book.
Pressfield has a background in advertising. And you can tell. He knows how to sell this shit without being annoying.
We live in a world where many people are trying to sell us all kinds of things. And it isn’t enjoyable.
6. THE WRITER JOURNEY BY CHRISTOPHER VOGLER
The Writers Journey is the most elaborative book on this list. It’s also the most comprehensive book I’ve read about storytelling. It’s also a nice practical book.
It’s more like a textbook that you will try to avoid, but interesting details will pull you towards this.
