From the makers of Kota Factory comes another mini web series, ‘Hostel Daze.’ This time the story focuses on the lives and adventures of four friends and showcases what goes inside an engineering hostel.
The series does a tremendous job of showcasing the reality of a hostel, unlike the cooked-up versions of hostels that we are used to seeing in Bollywood movies. The strength of the series lies in its realism; the series stays true to its story and is hilarious right from the start.
6. Girls Hostel
This mini Web Series, directed by Chaitanya Kumbhakonum, and produced by TVF, revolves around the lives of 4 girls from different backgrounds living in a girl’s hostel. The series was praised for its humorous take on severe problems like women's inequality and injustice.
The episodes are filled with great writing, funny dialogues, and strong acting performances. All 5 episodes are well-paced, making this series perfect for binge-watching.
7. Delhi Crime
Based on the 2012 Delhi gang-rape case, this Crime drama web series revolves around the aftermath of the 2012 Delhi gang rape, as the story follows Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Vartika Chaturvedi, who is tasked to find the culprits responsible for the assaults and death of the female victim.
The show has a raw and realistic approach, and at times, looks as if you’re watching a real-life investigation.
