Introduction
Simraungadh is a place that is located south of Kathmandu and east of Birgunj. It is a tourist place where so many foreign and national tourists visit the place every year. Its place contains many tourist spots as Rani was Temple & Palace, Kankali Temple, Jharokhar Pokhari, Kankali pokhari, Khajani Landmark, Kotawal, Stone Box, Simraungadh market, Rani was garden, etc.
1. Rani was Temple & Palace
It is located in the west of Simraungadh municipality. It is a temple of god Ram and Janki. Rani temple is rectangular and pyramidal-shaped and contains so many sketches and pictures marked at the edge of the temple and the inner part of the temple, which makes it attractive. It was built in the 11th century of the palace of king Nanyadeva in 1097. This temple was built by King Shiva Singh for his daughter Isri Devi. The main gate of the palace is situated in the east. The statue is made of gold and other medals.
2. Kankali Temple
Khinkali Temple is located in the Simraungadh, south of Kathmandu and east of birgunj. It is a rectangular and pyramidal-shaped temple and situated on the side of khinkali pokhari. This temple contains sketches and made signs to address the situation. Its surrounding contains so many attractive things as mango garden, flowers, herbs, shrubs trees, etc. It contains a deep well which facilitated to the people during the last time. The gate of this temple is built of stone which is very hard.
3. Jharakhar Pokhari and Kankali Pokhari
It is located east of simraungadh and south of Baswariya village. It is the largest lake in simraungadh. It has not dried yet. It always contains full of water. Its edge contains herbs, shrubs, and trees, which makes it attractive. So many birds play in this pokhari. Khinkali Pokhari is located and situated in Simraungadh on the side of the khinkali temple. It is also called Isra pokhari. It also facilitates rafting and boats for tourists to enjoy in this Pokhara, making tourists feel peace in heart, cool & calm.
4. Khajani Landmark and Kotwal
It is located in the west of simraungadh near the Rani was a temple. It is assumed that khajana means valuable things as gold, silver, copper, and others. So this landmark is called khajani due to the presence of gold in this area. Gold mainly appears during the rainy season. So many tourists visit this landmark. Kotwal is located in Kotawali village in the west-north of simraungadh. Kotwal means pillars from which the king communicates information and notices during the 11th century.
5. Stone Box and Burnt Rice
A stone box is a large box made of stone hardly and situated beneath the ground. It is located in Hariharpur in the west-north of simraungadh. It is amazing that the stone box has not been opened by anyone yet from the 11th century. So many tourists visit these sites every year. The burnt rice is located on the way of amateur west-south of simraungadh. Burnt rice appears naturally beneath the ground since the 18th century. It is an amazing thing. Tourists investigate it every year.
6. Simraungadh Market and Raniwas Garden
It is held in Simraungadh on Monday and Friday twice a week. It is reputed about the variety of vegetables and raw materials in the lowest price over Nepal. Raniwash garden is situated on the north side of rani was a temple that expands over the 52 bighas (0.13 square km). It contains so many flowers, herbs, shrubs, and trees, making it a green environment and peaceful. The mango tree is famous in this garden.
