1. They felt you were too desperate to get out of your marriage and move on with your life
Many men love their wives and don’t want to divorce them, however, if she was never meant to be with him in the first place, then there is no reason for him to be with her.
He would rather get rid of her and be with someone who will adore him completely.
If she’s not compatible with you at all, then this does not bode well for your marriage.
2. They were always the one to initiate it
Men, on the other hand, usually end a relationship by accident.
If a woman had the chance to end it on her own, she will think twice before being the first one to do so, instead, she would prefer for him to make the first move.
If a man is the one doing all the initiating for you, chances are he was never into you in the first place.
3. They are suspicious of your phone calls and text messages
This is because they can easily access your phone and phone conversations, and if they see that you had frequent phone conversations with another man, they’ll become suspicious of what’s going on between you two.
They wouldn’t understand why you would go out of your way to avoid him when all it takes is one simple text to end the relationship between you and your ‘friend’.
You do not have to tell them the entire thing, just the bit that won’t affect them.
4. He is the sole reason for your marital discord
Men will most likely be the only reason why your marriage ended.
The divorce will not be caused by you and the children not liking him or the pressure of supporting your children on your own.
It would more likely be because he was always the cause of your marital discord.
5. He is the one holding the marriage together
If your husband has not changed, then he was never meant to be married to you in the first place.
He will probably hold you and your marriage together with his love.
But then again, he’s not giving you what you truly want and what you deserve.
He is not giving you what you need to keep the fire burning in your marriage.
He does not show you respect and he does not want to be a man that you have to fight for in the relationship.
6. He does not make any effort to be a better person
You know what else a man wants more than anything else?
The feeling of being a better person.
Being a better person does not mean you must change your personality, because a man is not material to change who he is.
It’s possible that he already is who he needs to be to keep you happy.
If he is truly an angel, then he will do what it takes to keep you happy.
If he is truly your husband, then he would make any effort to do anything to make you happy.
Today, more than ever before, you need to know what your role in a relationship is.
A man who wants to marry you will not be a bit surprised if you come to him for something and that he doesn’t come to you.
For every ‘I need you to do this’ and ‘I need you to do that’, there will be a ‘please do that for me’.
Do not make him the main reason for your happiness.
The ‘responsible’ man wants to be the husband he always wanted.
The ‘failing’ husband wants the wife he never had.
Is he the best person for you?
No.
But are you his wife?
Yes.
Unless, of course, he really isn’t your husband at all.
And if he is, then you should walk away, and not look back.
