1. Bhangar Fort, Rajasthan
Bhangar Fort is located in the Alwar region; it is also considered the most haunted place in India. It is considered dangerous because even the Archaeological Survey of India has legally prohibited anyone from entering Bhangar Fort after dark.
There is also a legend that says that during the 16th century, a tantric named Singhania fell in love with the most beautiful princess of Bhangar Ratnavati. And when he realized that it was a hopeless match, he decided to seduce her using black magic. However, the princess uncovered the truth and sentenced him to death. But before his death, he cursed the palace to doom and the town to be roofless and miserable forever, and the nearby locals believe that anyone who goes into the fort after dark won't make it back.
2. Dow Hill, Kurseong, West Bengal
In Kurseong, there are high schools of the Victoria Boy's High School and Dowhill Girl's Boarding School; Darjeeling is believed to be the residence of many spirits whose footsteps can be heard echoing through the hallways.
There have been countless murdered bodies found in the wood surrounding the schools, and several locals and tourists report being followed by a headless boy who then disappeared into the woods.
3. D'Sauza Chawl, Mumbai
This chawl is situated in a populated area in Mahim, Mumbai. The residents have reported that they have seen a lady who loiters around the area at night and vanishes without a trace once the sun is up. The locals there believe that she was an old lady who fell into a well while drawing water from a well but accidentally she fell in it got drowned as no one heard her voice screaming for help.
4. Ramoji Film City, Andhra Pradesh
This is one of the largest film complexes in India; Ramoji film studio is said to be the home of spirits. They roam around the grounds and hotels of this area. It is said that this studio was built on a battlefield, and the spirits of the dead soldiers are still fighting on the field.
They also find some strange marks on the mirrors, and sometimes even the props and crew members are falling to the ground, and the circumstances are unexplained, and phantom foods are being scattered around.
5. Khairatabad Science College, Hyderabad
There is an old inconspicuous Tarapuri building; it is just off the Khairatbad flyover, which used to be a science college. The building went wreck and was abandoned; however, the bodies that were in the biology room were not disposed of properly.
When people pass from there at night, they have noticed walking skeletons, some sparks or sparkling things, and even some strange/disturbing noises. The government had appointed a guard to watch over the places, but surprisingly he died mysteriously; no one knows what happened that time.
6. Golconda Fort, Andhra Pradesh
In the 13th century, Kalkatiyas ruled Andhra Pradesh and built the Golconda fort. The queen's name was Taramati, the king and the queen were buried in the fort, and it is said that after they died, the queen started to haunt the palace with her husband. Some say that the queen's spirit walks every night and dances in the palace; in the night, screams and howls in pain are also heard in the fort. Some people have also seen pictures or paintings hanging upside down on the walls of the fort.
