A writer is a person who writes books, stories, or articles. These famous writers had the most influence on the world due to what they wrote or how their writings changed the world. Here are the names of these great writers.
1.Dutch Vondel
Joost van den Vondel was a revered Duch poet and playwright of the 17 th century. He is considered the most prominent Dutch poet. Joost van den Vondel was born on the seventeenth of November 1587 on the gross which gasser in Cologne Holy Roman Empire. His most well-known play, Gijsbrecht van Aemstel ‘ a historical drama, was performed from 1638 to 1968 in Amsterdam. His epic, Joannes de Boetgezant’ (1662), on the life of John the Baptist, has been called the greatest Dutch epic.
2.Greek Homer
Homer was the greatest epic poet of ancient Greece. He told stories that were written down 400 years later. He wrote two poems-‘The Iliad’ and ‘The Odyssey’ in 750 BCE. The Iliad is about the final year of the war between the Greeks and the Trojans, outside the walls of Troy.’ Homer’s poems have had a huge influence on the history of literature. The Odyssey is an adventure about Odysseus's 10 years wandering journey, attempting to return home with his men.
3.French-Hugo
Victor Marie Hugo was a French writer of the 19th century. He was at the forefront of the romantic literary movement. Many of his works have inspired music. He wrote two poems, ‘Notre Dame de Paris’(1831), popularly known as ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame.’ The second work is ‘Les Miserables’ (1862). He also produced more than 4000 drawings in his lifetime. He has been honored with his portrait on the French currency.
4 English-Shakespeare
William Shakespeare was an English poet, playwright, and actor. He is regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world’s pre-eminent dramatist. He was born on 23rd April 1564 in Stratford upon Avon Warwickshire, England. He is often called England’s national poet and the ‘Bard of Avon.’ His works have been translated into more than 60 languages.
5.Russian-Pushkin
The father of Russian Literature. Alexander Sergeyevich Pushkin was a Russian poet, playwright, and novelist during the romantic era and the founder of Russian literature. Pushkin was born into Russian nobility in Moscow. He published his first poem at the age of fifteen. His masterworks are ‘Boris Godunov’ (1831) and ‘Evgeny Onegin’(1825-1832). The first is a play, and the second is a novel in verse form. He was fatally wounded in a duel with his brother-in-law. Pushkin gradually became committed to social reform and emerged as a spokesman for literary radicals.
6.German –Goethe
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, the greatest German literacy figure of the modern era, wrote four novels, poetry, nonfiction, and scientific essays. He has often been seen as one of Europe’s big cultural heroes, comparable likes of Shakespeare, Dante, and Homer. During his life, Goethe’s admires were impressed by his literary work. His most famous work is ‘Die Leiden des Jungen Werthers’ or The sorrows of young Werther (1774). It was his first work.
