Top 5 ways to make $100 online in a single day  Part 1

Now, it's time to look at some  ways you can use the internet to generate passive or active income. If you're interested in making money online and in your spare time, check out these 5 ways to make $100 or more per day:

 #1: Google Absence,

As a financial advisor, I faced many limitations when I started my blog. So Google Absence, was "one of the few ways" I could make money back then.

With this income strategy, you simply sign up and Google will provide you with a code that you can copy and paste onto your website. Google then does the rest, and you get paid every time someone clicks on your ads and/or makes a purchase.

When I finally put Google Absence, on my site, I was able to get my first payout of $100 in about three months. That's pretty cool, but a lot of people have asked me how I made so much from Absence, in the first place.

You have to keep in mind that as a financial advisor, I run most of the ads on my website for financial products, which pay pretty well. If your blog is in a different niche, like food or fashion, it may take longer for your ads to pay off that first $100 check.

 #2: Text Links

The second way I initially made $100 was through text links. If you're wondering what text links are, look at any article on the web "and" you'll see highlighted words that you can click to go to another webpage.

It's been a long time since I realized it, but there are plenty of companies willing to pay $100, $200, even $1,000 or more for you to link from your site to theirs. But I got pretty excited when a few companies paid me $100 or more to put a link in one of my blog posts.

Unfortunately, I eventually learned that selling text links were against Google's terms of service. If you do this regularly, your site will go under in the long run.

For this reason, selling text links is not a good monetization strategy in the long run. You can do it every once in a while with no ill effects, but you will regret it if you get greedy and overdo it.

 #3: Sponsored Posts

With a sponsored post, a company pays you to talk about their product or service on their website. While I was initially making $100-$200 for each sponsored post on Good Financial Cents, I've been able to keep increasing my prices over time.

If you plan on doing sponsored posts, I definitely recommend only working with companies that you believe in and feel comfortable with.

If you promote anything without making sure it aligns with your values, you probably won't gain much trust from your readers. Over time, this could hurt your efforts to grow your site more than the revenue from sponsored posts.

 #4: Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is one of the most lucrative ways to make money online. Once I was able to add affiliate links to my website, I saw my income soar in a matter of weeks!

In the financial planning niche, affiliates include businesses such as online brokers, online banks, and financial tools. These types of companies pay very good money if you are willing to promote them.

While the type of affiliates you work with will vary depending on the niche you're in, keep in mind that some companies will pay you as much as $100 per conversion. It's not too hard to make real money with this kind of return for your time.

If you don't believe me, read Making Sense of Cents. Michelle Schroeder-Gardner is the entrepreneur behind this blog, and she is also the founder of a course called Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing. Through her website and course sales, Michelle consistently makes over $100,000 a month. No, that's not a typo.

 #5: Display Ads

Display ads are very similar to Google Absence, except that the reader doesn't have to click on the ad to make money. Think of display ads like billboards, placed on your website, not on the curb.

With display ads, you get paid based on how many times your ad is viewed, no matter what. Because of this, these ads work better for you when your site traffic increases over time.
