Top 5 Ways To Get The Best Use Out Of Your Home Treadmil

The # 1 fear people have when investing in a home treadmill (or any exercise equipment) is that they will not use it.

You know the story. It will be delivered, you set it up and enjoy a few days ... and then it will sit ... wait.

On the road for a few months, you will see how dirty it has become and how much space it takes up. And by using it honestly every day, you will remember how much weight you have decided to lose. But now, unfortunately, it doubles as a clothing rack.

Never be afraid. This article will help you to prevent that from happening.

The treadmill provides the best overall cardiovascular exercise and is still the number one exercise machine for people who want to lose weight. So it's an investment in your health that pays big dividends ... if you're willing to make the most of it!

Here are 5 easy ways to get the most out of your home treadmill:

# 1) Do your research first

Make sure you look at what each treadmill offers you and compare it to your specific needs.

For example, if you live in a condo and / or like nice things, a folding treadmill might be best for you. If you want a folding treadmill, do you prefer a manual folding treadmill (like most folding treadmills) or do you prefer a shock-assisted folding treadmill with bottom wheels for easy movement?

If you want to drink water during your workout, make sure you have a water bottle holder on the treadmill console (you may be surprised how many treadmills do not have this feature.)

Do you get bored easily and need a challenge? What about getting a treadmill with multiple user programs or fit compatibility?

These things may seem small to you and may cost you a little more; But it's worth it if you understand that you're really going to enjoy your workout!

# 2) Keep the treadmill in a 'happy' place.

‘Happiness’ I mean is well lit, open and exciting. Do not place your face against a bare wall while running or running. I tried it and the exercise doesn’t last long! If you get bored easily, put it in front of the television or near the window, where you can get a great view while working.

Rooms and spaces have a definite 'feel' to them and this will affect your exercise success. Make sure you place your treadmill in an area that is energizing, happy and emotionally stimulating.

# 3) Prepare your exercise arsenal before the treadmill arrives.

Do you like to listen to loud music while exercising? Want to see your favorite movies? What about reading magazines? What motivates you to work and feel your best?

Prepare these things before your treadmill arrives, and you will be three-quarters there. Carry around several workouts or favorite CDs. Get your favorite movies or shows on tape. Collect your favorite magazines.

By 'exercising' around your treadmill, you will be motivated to work out, and you will not be able to run to do anything when you want to start exercising.

Again, this may seem simple, but it works. Why do you think magazines, TVs and CD players are useful in the gym?

# 4) Create an exercise plan.

Before you start working out, say, try to have a plan called "Roadmap for Your Rock-Hard Body". By writing down how long and what kind of exercise you do in weeks 1, 2, 3, 4, etc., you will prepare yourself for success.

Every time you exercise, remember to plant the seeds for the body you want.

By creating a plan, you can see how many seeds you will show (and how long it will take for results!), enjoy it, and you will be motivated to achieve your health goals (and get the most out of it) from your treadmill! :)

# 5) Track your progress

Okay, this is related to # 4, but it's an ongoing thing. By tracking your progress on a daily basis, you will get a great sense of accomplishment with snowballs getting even more s *** - burning results.

I suggest having 'minimum goals' like "I will run at least 10 minutes". Or "I do it in 5-30 seconds." These are very easy to do, and you are probably ahead of them - it motivates you more and boosts your sense of accomplishment.

And of course, you get the most out of your treadmill too!

Here are 5 ways you can make the most of your home treadmill. Keep in mind that a little preparation will pay big dividends in the long run.
