Body of the article:
Self-improvement (or self-help) tools come in many shapes and sizes; sometimes it is natural (self-help book, massage, watercolor painting), or spiritual nature (floral forms, Reiki, physical and spiritual meditation, etc.).
The five best self-help options I have successfully used to help my mind, body, and spirit are:
No:1. Meditation techniques - a great self-help tool that greatly benefits health and well-being. There are many strategies to choose from, such as:
Visualized meditation;
Candle meditation;
Reflection meditation;
Crystal Meditation;
Writing meditation (alternating using a dominant and non-dominant hand);
Walking meditation;
Body scan; and
Healing meditation using any color; respiratory function; aromatherapy; etc.
No:2. Painting with watercolors, pastels or oil paints - express your differences artistically. This is an amazing self-help tool that you can use for inner healing, stopping and creating something new (wall art for your living room).
No:3. Vibration themes. Part of the ancient wisdom, vibratory elements are used in medicine to help remove emotional barriers and patterns, as well as to solve problems in earlier lives.
Essence is usually in a liquid form and can also be used for creams, lotions and oils (sometimes I combine mine with a combination of aromatherapy oils).
Moving objects are found in light (sun, moon etc.), healing powers (universal or spiritual forces, Reiki etc.), plants (flowers, stems, leaves etc.), minerals (crystals, gold etc.), and nature: (holy places), or animal.
Some examples of resources available (many) that you can read further as a self-help tool are:
History, Gem, Angel, Shell, Coral, Sea, Goddess, and Chakra essences
No:4. Journal writing is a great self-help tool that connects you to your true essence, your identity.
Get a special journal/diary to write; something special to write about (either brightly colored ink or black, blue or traditional red) and make a day with you to write a journal every morning at the same time (before getting out of bed).
I have practiced writing journals as a self-help tool for many years and I still find, to this day, one of the greatest tools for self-help and self-improvement - and it costs nothing!
Write down your worries, your sadness, your loneliness, and anything else that may play on your mind. Once you have done that, write in your journal the joy, enthusiasm and love you feel about the next day, the projects you work on, the friends you will find, the food you will eat, and the miracles that can happen. Possibly, purchase to be made, your workday etc.
No:5. Make a massage. Treat yourself to some physical activity, such as a Swedish massage. Swedish is a traditional or western soft tissue type, but if you want something a little different for healing the mind, body, and spirit you can choose:
Aromatherapy massage - nothing like this uses essential oils for body, mind and spirit.
Kat, Huns, A
gentle, relaxing, cool and stretching massage (even watching this massage is relaxing);
Reflexology - hand and foot massage therapy;
Reiki - hands-on healing power (aligning Chakras etc.)
Vichy Shower - warm water directed over your body, rubbing it gently (this is heavenly, especially after rubbing salt).
Acupressure - a type of physical activity based on Chinese Meridian vision
Ayurvedic - part of India's traditional toxic and rejuvenating program called warms the body with warm oils and toxins, it cools and balances, and helps deepen inner peace.
Hot stone massage - smooth stones applied to the body and supervised by the hands of a healer.
The unlisted message I received in the past was a form of a Swedish massage. I was given small smooth stones to hold on to with both hands, at the end of the massage the therapist grabbed my feet and ‘tuned’ me, which sounded like a clarinet going up and down the scale. To say that I feel comfortable and strong at the same time is an understatement. It was amazing.
I have tested many self-help tools on the road over the years; it has been an amazing journey with deep help from the air. Sometimes the good comes from being blinded by the light.
