Is there only one universe?
There is no reason to believe that our universe is unique. As our universe was created, it is possible that many other universes were created. If so, we live not in one universe, but in a vast collection of universes.
This is what physicists refer to as the 'Multi-Universe'. We can think of each as a separate universe, each unique and with its own physical laws. For example, some universe could have a gravitational force 100 times stronger than the gravitational force in our universe. If we can prove the existence of multiple universes, it will be a real intellectual revolution that will completely change our way of thinking about the universe.
Is dark matter real?
The dark side of the universe is a great mystery. Dark matter and dark energy make up 96 percent of the universe.
You, me, the Sun, the Earth, the galaxies and the Milky Way together fill the remaining 4 percent of space. According to the big bang theory, dark matter was formed from elementary particles less than a second after the formation of our universe. But, this is something mysterious. Although we have evidence of its existence, unfortunately it has yet to be discovered.
Are there white holes?
Most of us have heard of black holes. But, few people have heard about venthulas. White holes are the opposite of black holes.
Black holes absorb everything. The pores reveal everything. Nothing can escape from black holes. Nothing can get inside the pores.
There is a lot of debate going on about whether or not vendulas exist. If they are, it's sure to be an interesting one. Furthermore, they may also create the possibility of serving as a pathway connecting us to other universes or other eras of our universe. But, they are still an imaginary one.
Is this universe created by quantum fluctuation?
According to the current view of cosmology, everything we see in the universe is caused by temporary quantum fluctuations in the energy level at a point in space. After this universe was formed, it expanded very rapidly during a very short period known as cosmic inflation.
During that expansion the temporal fluctuations in energy levels were extended. This stretching sent ripples through the universe. It is from these ripples that the Milky Way, the planets, the Earth, and the human race were formed.
The mystery here is whether a very fine-scale quantum fluctuation can turn the Milky Way into a galaxy. A few years ago this was doubtful. But this is the most common example of cosmic structure formation today.
Can you travel to the past?
Time is interesting to everyone, not just physicists. For example, if you travel faster, the time will decrease further. If you travel at the speed of light, time simply stops.
If you look at the equations of physics, it's amazing how time can go forward or backward. In general, physical equations do not distinguish between forward and backward.
That's why many people think they can go back in time. As long as we don't create any conflicts with the future, it's possible in principle that we can travel backwards. As is always the case in science in general, each of these mysteries leads to another or even greater mystery.
