Having acne on your face, does not make you less beautiful. Either way, you are extremely attractive and pretty! It is just a skin condition that majority of people face in their lifetime for different periods of time.
To control your facial acne, there are some minimal differences that you might want to make, in your daily routine, to see a major difference. These changes will not take up much of your time, but would definitely contribute in providing a noticeable change in your skin conditions. And no! I won’t be giving you any such advice as to “Drink more water” or “Use high-end, expensive products”. These tips are those which one could easily follow without any hassle.
5. Changing your pillow cases regularly.
This might sound a bit lame and out of topic but trust me, doing this one such thing, provides extreme results. Your pillow case holds bacteria and dirt, which can penetrate into your face and trigger your acne even more. It should become a common practice for one to regularly, and by regularly I mean after every 2 days, to change your pillow case to see better results on your skin. For minimum 8 hours, our face touches the pillow case every night and no I am not counting the lazy naps we take throughout the day with our face plopped into our pillow case or the cry breaks. Our skin functions mostly when we are asleep, so it is better that it does not have to deal with any bacteria or dirt at that time. Put a reminder on your phone to change your pillow case every day! This should become a crucial step from now on!
4. Cleaning your phone’s screen.
As mentioned above, if you want to see good results on your face, you got to do some cleaning! Apparently, our toilet seat is said to be cleaner than our phone’s screen. Disgusting, right? We keep our phones onto side tables, in our bags and purses, on the couch, in our pockets, on the dining table, on the kitchen and on all other places which one cannot even imagine. All types of bacteria touches the screen of our phones and yes sorry to burst your bubble, but our phone screens do not absorb bacteria so when we call our loved ones for several hours, when the phone touches our cheeks, all the bacteria enters our skin and take forms of pimples and acne. To avoid this from happening, we should clean the screens of our phone as well by using a damp towel or any other thing.
3. Stop Touching Your Face!
Touching your face again and again, can also trigger acne. I know some of you can just not resist it but, it is important. We should not touch our faces, as our hands touch countless things in a day. Touching your face, could transfer all the bacteria onto the face, which would go deep into our pores and take the form of pimples. It is way better to keep your hand 10 centimeters away from your face and not touch it! Also, touching your face frequently can lead to one picking and popping already existing pimples, which could leave long term scarring! Better to keep your hands by your sides, I guess.
2. Hair Products Matter!
I bet you would’ve not heard about this one! Yes, the products that you use for your hair and the way you use it, also matters and plays a key role in keeping your skin acne-free. Washing your shampoo from your hair, in such a way that it touches your face, can trigger acne as shampoo can linger onto your face and not wash off properly. Build-ups of hair products, which fall onto the face, can also become a cause of acne. Also, having dandruff can also lead to pimples forming onto the skin, especially on the forehead as dandruff falls directly on the face, which could then get absorbed into it and lead to acne. It’s better to take immense care of your hair and also use products that are skin friendly.
1. Having a better diet.
Yes, drinking water does not matter much or at all, but does matter. Eating oily foods, burgers, pizzas and French fries can, yes, trigger your facial oil glands to produce more oil called sebum which could lead to acne and pimples. On the other hand, eating vegetables and fruits and keeping your diet healthy could lead to happy skin.
Following these tips, along with a good skincare routine, and Sunscreen (This is very crucial), would lead to happy and radiant skin.
